I usually do n't give advice on my favorite lures because I let people find out for themselves, but this deserves more recognition! The trout go absolutely nuts when you throw these oily eggs to the bottom with a little octupus hook. I caught about 12 rainbow trout and 3 lake trout with this product and I promise that I will buy it again every trout season!

Not sure why it 's so hard to find these. I get the most bites with a green worm on the hook and one of these garlic balls on the point.

Frequently Asked Questions For Mike's Salmon Eggs

Salmon eggs are commonly used as bait for various types of fishing, particularly for targeting species like trout and salmon. They are effective because they mimic the natural food source of these fish, making them more likely to bite. Anglers often use them in both freshwater and saltwater environments.

The effectiveness of salmon eggs can vary based on factors such as color, size, and scent. Some anglers prefer certain types for specific fishing conditions or seasons. Experimenting with different varieties can help determine which works best for your local fishing spots.

When selecting salmon eggs, consider the fishing environment, the target species, and the time of year. Factors like water temperature and clarity can influence which type of bait will be most effective. Additionally, the presentation method can also impact success rates.

Salmon eggs can be used with various fishing techniques, including float fishing, bottom fishing, and drift fishing. Their versatility makes them a popular choice among anglers. However, the method of presentation may need to be adjusted based on the specific technique being used.

To keep salmon eggs fresh, they should be stored in a cool environment, ideally in a refrigerator. Using airtight containers can help prevent them from drying out or absorbing unwanted odors. It's also important to check for any signs of spoilage before use.

UV-enhanced salmon eggs are designed to attract fish by reflecting ultraviolet light, which is invisible to the human eye but can be seen by many fish species. This feature can increase visibility in murky waters or low-light conditions, potentially improving catch rates. Anglers often find these types of bait effective during specific times of day or in certain water conditions.
