I prefer Mizuno catcher's gear for its awesome looks and durability. I 've had three full sets of Mizuno( outgrew my smaller gear; have a red set for Fall Ball and black set for High School). This helmet takes a beating, and the padding far surpasses its competitors.

I have to be really honest here, I didn ’ t buy this helmet for baseball at all, I bought it to wear as my bicycle riding helmet. I didn ’ t like any styles out there because I wanted full face protection that a lot oh regular helmets don ’ t have. However, after initially trying it on, and getting a feel for it, I can honestly say it was well worth the money I paid for it. It ’s a lot more comfortable then most other helmets, plus, it ’s just a great all around style. The first day I fully rode with it I got a great comment about it, and that alone told me I made a wise decision on buying it. Looking forward to the longer days when I can go further on my bike then I can now. Also, the removable chin pad is great, as well. I ’ m going to try riding with it a few times to see how it fits, so, i ’ ll Wait to pass judgement on it. It works very well with my sunglasses( they go over my prescription glasses), and I still have a ton of movement that doesn ’ t affect them. And, I can even wear my Bluetooth earphones, as well, but for safety ’s sake, I won ’ t listen to them when i ’ m biking. Other then that, it ’s a pretty decent item for the price. And the color is perfect, as well... just the right shade of blue I wanted. Other then that, like I said, it ’s pretty awesome. I hope these helmets stay available just in case I ever need to replace it.

Best gear
As a high school level catcher I have a lot of friends that wear all star gear and say they like they feel. I have had trouble in the past with other big brands as of Easton with my knees hurting from the lack of support in the leg guards, but I have never had that problem with this set. The helmet rarely come unattached from the back piece and the shoulder pads are adjustable and removable.

With the upcoming season my 10 year old needed new catchers gear. I honestly did n't want the hassle of driving around looking for catcher gear but also did n't want to order online and have it not fit and have to deal with the whole return. Went to our local Dicks and they did n't have catchers in store. Thankfully, with ordering everything worked out. Gear fit perfectly and we have not had any complaints regarding the gear. My daughter has been using I now for about 2 months.
