I have it backed up to a fence so I don ’ t use the stakes but some hard hits/goals can knock it backwards. My situation isn ’ t a big deal but the stakes would otherwise be helpful. We bought this as a replacement for one of those pop- up goals you can move around, and although it's not quite as portable, the quality of the design and construction makes up for it. The Junior size is plenty big for our small back yard and offers great returning capabilities. The netting wo n't be as tight as a rebounder itself, but it's plenty good for its intent. Construction took roughly an hour with two adults necessary, but it was not overly taxing. The instructions are not the greatest, but it's not too difficult.
