But after wearing them for a few days, I have to say, they are really great! They have ample breathing and the material of the inserts make my feet stay put so there's no heel lift that I typically get in this type of shoe. And I 've never gotten so many compliments about my shoes. Everywhere I go someone tells me cool shoes. I was worried my feet would get hot, but they felt cool the whole time. [ Next Gen Sports Cars for Feet The instant I put these shoes on for the first time, my son said, “ Cool shoes, dad! ” My son is a tough crowd to impress. Within an hour, my brother- in- law who is a local basketball legend was complimenting my shoes too. This must be what driving a new Ferrari around town feels like. They are very comfortable and the insole is non- slip, keeping my socks in place and will be great for juking on the court. I ’ m hoping they ’ re machine washable or easy wipe down, so I can keep them white. Once laced up, my feet are secure and snug and not going to slide around. The ankle support is great but the arch is just good. I haven ’ t played a game in them yet, but the small vents on the top are likely not enough to keep my feet cool and dry so I ’ m worried my feet will get really hot. But for walking around the wall and hanging with friends, they ’ re a show stopper.

Took awhile to break in but they ’ re pretty solid after that. I feel really locked in with this shoes, does have a little bulkier sneaker feeling like a Nike SB shoe but I like it. I had absolutely no issues with my heel slipping, my shoelace actually came undone and I played about 3 minutes with an untied shoe and was able to run around just fine. I can see why people won ’ t like it when they fist try it on but you got ta give it time to break in.

Wanted to give this shoe a shoutout from the initial release version. The upper is comfortable pretty much right out the box, good traction, not too much break in needed. A must try if you got the initial version and disliked due to the stiffness. Fits nothing like that. Already hooped in it a few times and digging it.

D Book ’s 2- Spiridon I have not worn the other released pairs of Books 2 but from what I can see/tell these Spiridon are better than the other color ways. I believe the mesh material has a bit more give and are lighter than compared to other versions. I wear a 10. 5 and have them fitting well at that size. [ As the title says, these are 5 star shoes… for the right foot. The material feels premium, with a smooth lateral portion of the upper and a softer medial side. I ’ ve never worn a shoe that felt as good as these do under foot. They are soft, bouncy and almost spring upwards when you jump. The traction is incredible on the court, letting you change direction on a dime, or as close as you can if you ’ re slightly past your prime like I am. I also really liked the heel. The shape and padding kept my ankle pinned down and comfortable with almost no slipping. I really do like the design and look of the anthracite, with the two distinctly different blacks. Different both in material/texture and tone. The gold specks in the laces stand out more than I would have guessed and the metallic GT on the heel and swoosh on the lateral side give it a futuristic and premium look. They truly are a top tier basketball shoe but they won ’ t be for everyone. I have fairly flat feet, which makes them wider than most but they aren ’ t wide enough to buy wide specific shoes. The lateral side has a sharp inward curve right at my smallest toe and puts pressure on that toe. It was noticeable the first time I put them on and so I wore them around my house causally for about 3 hours and after the first 30 minutes, I really didn ’ t notice the pressure and they seemed to give and break in a little bit. The next day I played in them and I felt a bit of pressure initially, but over a 2 hour session they didn ’ t cause pain and I really liked the rest of the fit and positives that the shoe brought. It will take a few more sessions to decide if they will work for me long term but I ’ m willing to give them a shot because under foot feels so good. I will note that they were really hard to get on, especially the first time. When I got them, I was so excited I immediately attempted to put them on with casual cotton socks. The material stuck to the bottom and the upper and when I moved my foot inward the socks basically didn ’ t move and gave my foot basically a sock wedgie. To make it even harder to get on, the medial side is all one piece that joins with the tongue and only truly opens laterally making the fit tight. After failing with casual socks, I switched to Nike Elites and that helped a lot but still took some finagling to get them just right. If you love the design of the shoe and want a premium basketball shoe, try them on and see how they fit your foot and walk around. If thenfir works, you ’ ll be getting an amazing shoe.

[ I love this shoe! The quality is top- tier, with soft materials and a sleek, stylish design that definitely turns heads. The support is fantastic, making it a great option for hoopers. That said, I do wish the tongue and ankle collar had a bit more padding — they feel a little thin. Traction is phenomenal — hands down the best I ’ ve experienced. A true hooper ’s dream. However, durability isn ’ t the strongest point. I wouldn ’ t recommend playing outdoors too often, as the outsole wears down quickly. The shoe is super flexible and springy. The insoles have a nice texture that enhances both comfort and responsiveness, which is great for long sessions on the court. The ZoomX technology in the heel is soft with excellent compression — big plus there. The only real downside for me is the height. On- court, I would ’ ve preferred something slightly lower cut. Still, I love the overall style and would absolutely recommend this shoe to any hooper looking for a high- performing pair. The fit was true to size for me( I wear a size 9). It fits snugly, so no worries about slippage. If you prefer a looser fit, consider going up half a size.
