[ This is a great option as alternative to the Wilson Evolution for the budget conscious or as a tournament ball. Going to tournaments it is easy to loose a basketball. Everyone has an Evolution and even if name is on it they have a way of getting misplaced. This ball is different enough to stand out but distinctive from the Evolution. It has just enough more grip than the Evolution which can feel slick at times.

At first I thought the ball was way too rough and almost hurt my hands at times. After using it for about a week, dribbling, shooting around and playing a little bit of pick up with it the ball started to get a lot darker and the dimples started to wear down a bit. It now feels amazing and as good or better than my evolution! It feels good to step on the court with a broken in leather ball.

I had it narrowed down between this ball, the Wilson Evolution, and the Spalding Classic ZK Microfiber. The Spalding would 've been my 1st choice, but was$ 5 more expensive than the other two. I used a$ 10 off online code that only the Baden accepted, but not the Wilson for some reason. Performance wise, I really like the feel of this ball. Has the perfect amount of grip for great control when dribbling and shooting. Time will tell regarding the durability, but based on other reviews, I 'm not concerned. I think the feel is very similar to the Evolution. For the$, I highly recommend this ball.

[ I am the director of an AAU basketball program and when I brought this out to my daughter's team( 12U) they all said 'Is that the WNBA Ball'... lol. As it's not the exact replica of what they play with in the WNBA, it catches the eye first and foremost. Our first experience using the ball was indoors and the girls initially thought the ball was slick but after a few uses, the ball got more tacky and easier to handle. The girls like the feel of the ball but honestly love the look of the ball and how it looks rotating in the air after shooting. They look up to the WNBA players and love that they have a ball like what they play with. It can be used for training purposes to make sure the rotation is 'true' on player's shots. It has held its air both indoor and outdoor. Overall, this ball is a great addition to our organization, and I recommend its use for both indoors and outdoors.

[ Of all the indoor, composite leather basketballs, this one has the highest quality feel of all the basketballs I ’ ve used. It feels a little heavy out of the box and requires some break in, but after a little bit of use, it feels even better. The best feature, IMO, is that the ball has grip without feeling tacky. A lot of indoor balls have a very tacky feel, like it ’s stuck to your hand, but this ball has a great grip without that tacky, chemical feel. I love this ball, and it will be my go- to for the foreseeable future over all other indoor balls.

[ Just having been in the basketball space( at all levels) for a long time, I 've been exposed to all of the different types of balls that are used at each level. For the elite high school level, I firmly believe that this is probably the best basketball available. A lot of the other balls are way too soft-- while some people think they `` feel nice '', I think it's just too mushy. It does n't roll off your fingers the same way a professional level basketball would( which are much harder); also does n't have that `` oomph '' factor when passing and catching. There are a couple other balls that are not as soft( a little harder), but maybe as a trade- off, they have far less pebbling and are otherwise just smoother-- this reduces the tactile aspect that players enjoy from pebbling; you 're able to feel the ball better and just have a better grip on the ball overall when passing, catching, shooting, or laying the ball in. I think this Nike Elite Championship Basketball combines the best of both words-- 1) it's soft but not too soft, so it feels good without being mushy, and 2) it retains the really nice pebbling that is often appreciated for its tactile function. On top of all of that, the quality is great-- the seems are even without any deformation or anything and the text print is perfect as well. All in all, highly recommend this for high- level players in high school( and beyond). Get this ball!
