I use it to find my hand placement and form when shooting. After my first hour of practicing form I was asked to play a 3x3 pickup game. First touch of a standard ball and I made a deep 3. I felt as though the standard size ball was a kids size ball after using the large training ball. It felt easier to control and grip immediately. This training ball is not magic but it is a great tool as long as you put in the time at the gym. I ’ ve had lots of compliment by people who try it casually at the gym. It is an extra large basketball and I think that people use them for trying to make making a basket in a regulation hoop a little bit harder so that it's easier when you have the smaller ball. But I got it because I wanted a large basketball for my children to play with in the backyard we do n't have a basketball hoop set up so they just like to practice bouncing it to each other and trying to dribble. All three of my children use it, my 10 year old, my five year old and my two year old and they all have fun with it.

It is always hard to find a good outdoor basketball that can hold up to the rigors of repeatedly bouncing on the concrete, but these appear to of high quality. [ This basketball met my expectations. It came inflated but needed a little more air when I took it out of the box. It inflated easily and has since kept its pressure despite the change in season from winter to spring. I 've put about 15 hours of practice and game- time in with the ball since receiving it. In terms of feel, the grip is a little more tacky and the grooves a little deeper than other manufacturers I 've used in the past. This makes it somewhat better for dribbling control but a little more difficult to shoot as you have to adjust to the tendency to stick to the hands more. Overall a good ball that meets my needs and one that I would recommend to others.

[ Decided to play with this ball running some indoor hoops with friends since it ’s too cold to play outside yet. Felt nice to see feel a new ball that hasen ’ t been used and abused for years. Initially it took a little break in period to get used to the feel of the fresh material. But shortly after getting used to it my friends and I would refer to it as “ the good ball ”. Anytime we ’ d play since I got it, they would tell me to bring “ the good ball ” because of how good it felt on the hands and how smooth dribbling with it felt. No rough patches on it, held the air inside of it perfectly, and was bouncing perfectly on the court. Might need to get a couple more of these balls incase we get one stuck somewhere or lose it hahahaha. Overall, enjoy playing with this ball and plan to keep using it.

I purchased the Evolution for my son to replace another Evolution that was stolen from my son at the Gym. These balls are high quality and come highly recommended by many AAU organizations.
