[ I really like this oversized trainer basketball. It ’s very high quality and very durable. ... The leather is well intact and the ball is stylish. ... It ’s harder to make shots with this ball because of its size but I think it also helps you play better later when you play with a standard size...

Hperkins
[ This ball is fantastic! It is a bit oversized which actually helps my 2 kids with learning better ball control. Perfectly filled to have a nice rebound bounce. I would have loved to have more color options, but it is not an integral feature.

[ I really like this oversized trainer basketball. It ’s very high quality and very durable. It is noticeably larger than a regulation size ball. My son use it outside on concrete and it is not showing any wear or tear. My son have seen improvements in shooting since using this ball. Definitely recommended.

[ The basketball itself was bigger than I anticipated but it actually is beneficial for practicing with. It ’s harder to make shots with this ball because of its size but I think it also helps you play better later when you play with a standard size ball. It ’s definitely very beneficial to practice with this ball in the long run. I like the size and the feel as well. It ’s a little softer than I thought it would be.

[ My son loves this basketball. The extra size has helped him with practicing certain skills. The ball is very durable and well made. He has used this ball everyday for a couple of weeks and it is holding up well.

[ This Spaulding oversized trainer basketball has been a huge asset to my daughters ongoing training. The oversize of the ball enables her to focus on her archs and shooting technique with ease. She enjoys the way the ball fits in her hands. The quality of the ball is amazing. I looks like it's built to last through years of training. The leather is well intact and the ball is stylish. I would recommend this to anyone working in their basketball techniques

[ This is a great option as alternative to the Wilson Evolution for the budget conscious or as a tournament ball. Going to tournaments it is easy to loose a basketball. Everyone has an Evolution and even if name is on it they have a way of getting misplaced. This ball is different enough to stand out but distinctive from the Evolution. It has just enough more grip than the Evolution which can feel slick at times.
5
CST25
This ball is the right mix of the pro version and Evolution. It's not as expensive nor as slippery( until it breaks in) as the pro model, but it's not as puffy or rubbery as the Evolution. The goldilocks of basketballs. I highly recommend it.

[ Ball feels as expected out of the box. It ’s a leather ball that isn ’ t broken in. The more I played with it, the more it softened and gained more grip. It has a great bounce and leaves the hand smoothly on a jump shot. I like the design of the ball. The silver in the Wilson lettering looks cool. Overall, very satisfied with the official Wilson nba basketball.
5
Undrafted08
At first I thought the ball was way too rough and almost hurt my hands at times. After using it for about a week, dribbling, shooting around and playing a little bit of pick up with it the ball started to get a lot darker and the dimples started to wear down a bit. It now feels amazing and as good or better than my evolution! It feels good to step on the court with a broken in leather ball.
5
David
[ The official game ball is definitely the best basketball I ever played with. I ’ ve been using the evolution ball for 10 years and this is definitely an upgrade. If you thought the EVO NXT Ball was different then just wait till you try this one. This definitely my new favorite ball. 10/10 would recommend.

I had it narrowed down between this ball, the Wilson Evolution, and the Spalding Classic ZK Microfiber. The Spalding would 've been my 1st choice, but was$ 5 more expensive than the other two. I used a$ 10 off online code that only the Baden accepted, but not the Wilson for some reason. Performance wise, I really like the feel of this ball. Has the perfect amount of grip for great control when dribbling and shooting. Time will tell regarding the durability, but based on other reviews, I 'm not concerned. I think the feel is very similar to the Evolution. For the$, I highly recommend this ball.

Christmas gift from my sister in law, definitely the best basketball in this price range and it's worth every penny. I played with Wilson evolution and I would recommend Baden perfection over Wilson evolution. Great basketball!

[ Just having been in the basketball space( at all levels) for a long time, I 've been exposed to all of the different types of balls that are used at each level. For the elite high school level, I firmly believe that this is probably the best basketball available. A lot of the other balls are way too soft-- while some people think they `` feel nice '', I think it's just too mushy. It does n't roll off your fingers the same way a professional level basketball would( which are much harder); also does n't have that `` oomph '' factor when passing and catching. There are a couple other balls that are not as soft( a little harder), but maybe as a trade- off, they have far less pebbling and are otherwise just smoother-- this reduces the tactile aspect that players enjoy from pebbling; you 're able to feel the ball better and just have a better grip on the ball overall when passing, catching, shooting, or laying the ball in. I think this Nike Elite Championship Basketball combines the best of both words-- 1) it's soft but not too soft, so it feels good without being mushy, and 2) it retains the really nice pebbling that is often appreciated for its tactile function. On top of all of that, the quality is great-- the seems are even without any deformation or anything and the text print is perfect as well. All in all, highly recommend this for high- level players in high school( and beyond). Get this ball!

BreezyPants
[ This is a good, standard professional size 7 basketball. It felt comfortable to grip, and has the look and feel of a quality ball. I did have to add a little air, but after that it felt great. The box suggests the ball for indoor use only, and while I typically use outdoor courts I have not seen any excessive wear yet.
5
Deee
[ The elite championship ball definitely holds up to its name. It ’s one of the better basketballs I ’ ve had in a while for indoor use. It has great grip/traction and never felt dusty no matter how dusty the court was. The deep grooves of the lines made it somewhat easier to get my hand placed on ball from a shoot and catch position. This ball is intended for indoor use, with the soft materials it ’s made off this ball will definitely get chewed up on concrete! Overall this ball is a great ball to play with and I will continue to use if for most of my practice and weekend basketball plays.
5
MagicM
[ This basketball is hands down the best one I 've played with on indoor courts. The deep channels provide exceptional feel for catch and shoot situations, while the soft leather meshes extremely well with my finger tips upon contact. I play the guard position and can say the comfortable grip allows me to dribble between the legs with ease. On a side note, I strongly suggest playing only on indoor surfaces to preserve the longevity of the ball's leather grip. I ca n't wait to fully break in the ball when the leather `` softens '' up some more so I can maximize the ball's full potential. This is a basketball that not only feels but looks good-- a must buy for all hoopers out there.

[ This is one of the best outdoor basketballs I ’ ve ever seen or used. The grip is fantastic which helps with ball handling and shooting. My son and I even played in a little rain and we never lost our grip on the ball. Now I wouldn ’ t recommend using the ball in a downpour, but a little drizzle never hurt anybody. My kids love the ball and shoot with it everyday. I would highly recommend this ball for anyone that has a driveway court or who ’s kids just love to shoot around.

[ I am the director of an AAU basketball program and when I brought this out to my daughter's team( 12U) they all said' Is that the WNBA Ball'... lol. As it's not the exact replica of what they play with in the WNBA, it catches the eye first and foremost. Our first experience using the ball was indoors and the girls initially thought the ball was slick but after a few uses, the ball got more tacky and easier to handle. The girls like the feel of the ball but honestly love the look of the ball and how it looks rotating in the air after shooting. They look up to the WNBA players and love that they have a ball like what they play with. It can be used for training purposes to make sure the rotation is' true' on player's shots. It has held its air both indoor and outdoor. Overall, this ball is a great addition to our organization, and I recommend its use for both indoors and outdoors.

Justin B
[ My daughter loves practicing with her Wilson Authentic Series indoor/outdoor in our driveway that is real rough on basketballs. It ’s held up great! She has the same ball in Wilson EVO Next that she uses indoors. The Authentic ball is the next best ball that we found that give the best feeling of the game ball she uses in high school ball. She carries both of them everywhere. She has used the ball for inside court drills and it has performed great! Great value and buy! Recommend Highly! we only use Wilson ’s balls because they are the best!

[ My ten- year old daughter loves this ball and has put it to the test over the last month. The ball came inflated( Huge bonus as we have had problems in the past). She loves the grip, says it feels like an indoor ball. After using it consistently and even having her younger brother use it there are no signs of wear-- Huge win for dad. Also this was her first WNBA ball-- ca n't tell you how cool she thinks the ball is that reflects who she is. Overall I am very impressed with the ball.

Brandon K
[ This has to be one of the best outdoor balls I 've used. The texture of this ball is best feature of the ball, ready to go, right out of the box, unlike for rubber outdoor balls. The white panels do get dirty easily, but as to be expected from a white outdoor ball. Easily cleaned, however.

Nikki
[ I 've been impressed with how well this ball has held up. The grip is still as good as the day we opened it up. We 've used it outside on a cement pad as well as used it on an inside court. My kids love how it has a padded feel to it and the colors have held up as well.

I was looking for an indoor basketball as a white elephant gift and found this. It was one of the last gifts chosen, much to the chagrin of everyone, as it was probably the best gift. My 15 year old nephew was the lucky recipient and absolutely loved it as it is super fun to handle and dribble and very quiet.
An official weight basketball is designed to meet specific weight standards set by governing bodies for competitive play. This ensures consistency in performance and handling during games. Using an official weight basketball helps players develop their skills in a way that translates directly to official competitions.
Official weight basketballs are commonly made from high-quality synthetic leather or rubber, providing durability and a good grip. The materials are designed to withstand the rigors of both indoor and outdoor play. Additionally, some basketballs feature advanced composite materials that enhance performance and feel.
The design of an official weight basketball, including its size, weight, and grip texture, significantly impacts gameplay. A well-designed basketball allows for better control, shooting accuracy, and passing precision. The official specifications ensure that players can rely on consistent performance during games.
Yes, there are different types of official weight basketballs designed for specific playing surfaces, such as indoor and outdoor courts. Indoor basketballs typically have a softer cover for better grip and feel, while outdoor basketballs are made with more durable materials to withstand rough surfaces. Choosing the right type based on where you play can enhance your performance.
When selecting an official weight basketball, consider factors such as the playing surface, your skill level, and personal preferences regarding grip and feel. It's also important to choose a basketball that meets the official weight and size requirements for your league or competition. Testing different options can help you find the best fit for your game.
