I do n't play hockey, I do n't know anything about sports. But I did read online that you can use a hockey puck to make a record clamp for damping extraneous vibrations on your turntable. Simply find the exact center of the puck, and drill a 9/32 '' hole as perfectly vertical as possible( a drill press would helpe here). Then twist on to spindle over your record and your good to go. Having used this product for a couple of weeks now, I can say it makes quite a difference. The only thing that could be improved is to have a mark for the center of the puck, but I ca n't imagine why they would do that. Also, I only have two turntables, so I have 10 extra clamps. Dick's was the only place in tows with pucks though, so still I feel it was a good value.

My orders arrive quickly and the price is excellent. I do not use these pucks for hockey, so I can not speak to the quality. For my purpose, they are perfect. Garden Art! This product is not available in stores in Phoenix, AZ, so online is fantastic.

Regulation hockey pucks are typically made from vulcanized rubber, which provides the necessary weight and durability for play on ice. This material ensures that the puck can withstand the impact of sticks and skates while maintaining its shape and performance. Some pucks may also feature specific coatings to enhance their glide on the ice.
A regulation hockey puck weighs 6 ounces and has a diameter of 3 inches. These specifications are set by governing bodies to ensure consistency in play across different levels of the sport. Adhering to these standards is crucial for competitive play, as it affects the puck's handling and performance on the ice.
Regulation hockey pucks are designed for ice hockey and are made of rubber, while street hockey pucks are often lighter and made from plastic or other materials to suit outdoor play. The differences in weight and material affect how the puck moves and interacts with various surfaces, making it important for players to choose the right puck for their playing environment.
Regulation hockey pucks are primarily used in ice hockey games, practices, and training sessions. They are essential for developing skills such as shooting, passing, and puck control. Additionally, these pucks are often used in competitive leagues and tournaments, where adherence to official standards is required.
Yes, regulation hockey pucks are suitable for training purposes as they provide players with the authentic experience of handling a puck during games. Using regulation pucks during practice helps players develop their skills in a realistic setting, which can translate to improved performance in actual games. However, specialized training pucks may also be used to focus on specific skills.
Regulation hockey pucks should be stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent warping or degradation of the rubber material. Keeping them in a puck bag or container can help protect them from damage and ensure they remain in good condition for use. Proper storage will help maintain their performance and longevity.
