Amazing ball for the price. This is my first time playing a urethane ball regularly, used to play Vice Tour. I immediately noticed the difference on approach shots and greenside. I have now played the new version of this ball for 6 rounds and I 've been playing Tour X for 4 years. This new ball feels about the same on long shots( firm), but noticeable softer pitches, chips and especially putts. I am a senior golfer with moderate clubhead speed( 95 to 99 mph). This ball is not supposed to be for my swing speed, but it just goes longer for me. I shoot the same scores with this ball as a Pro- V1. I highly recommend this ball.

I recently purchased a box just to try. I found this ball to be just as long off the tee as the TaylorMade TP5 that I typically play. I also found more fairways. I typically miss about half the fairways over the course of a round, but I only missed 1 with this ball. The usual bigger than wanted draw plagues me, but with this ball it was a gentle 10- 15 yard draw instead of the typical 30- 40 yard draw I encounter. My irons felt crisp and I got the expected distance. The ball flight matched my typical flight when playing the TP5. I did n't see the amount of spin I am used to off the approach shots, but it was enough to stop the ball. I did n't see the spin that would back the ball up, but it would hop and stop from 160 yards and in to about 70. From 70 and in I would like to ha e a bit more spin, but the spin I got on these was adequate. It was comfortable to chip and pitch around the greens, but Putting felt great and the ball rolled true. All in all, I am looking forward to more golf with these. As a mid handicap golfer who struggles with consistency, I found that in this ball it seems. In the 1 round I 've played with this ball so far I shot 10 strokes under my handicap! Finding more fairways certainly aided in that.

I recently purchased the Callaway Chrome Soft golf balls from Golf Galaxy, and I ’ ve really enjoyed playing with them. The feel of these balls is amazing, especially around the greens, where they provide excellent feedback and control. They also feel great off the putter, which is a big plus for me. While I didn ’ t notice significant improvements in distance compared to other golf balls I ’ ve used, the Chrome Soft delivers on its promise of low spin and consistent performance. It ’s comparable to the TaylorMade Tour Response in terms of feel, but I felt the Chrome Soft had slightly lower spin and equally solid driving distance.

I would n't have believed it in a million years had it not just happened to me today. My son and his friend play this ball and they are always 50 yards ahead of me. Playing this ball last 2 seasons, and could n't be more pleased with this ball. Goes straight even on a bad drive. Really have to hit it badly to make it slice. Chips and pitches have good feel, and do n't run across the green when struck properly. Putting is like butter, so smooth. And, never have a problem with ball color bleeding. These balls do stain easier than the shiny white ones, so any stains on my gloves, or clubs, is most likely grass stains. Will take advantage of any sales on this ball, as to stock up. Callaway should leave this ball alone at this point, because it is a great ball at a good price.

I was using a new driver as well, but I was getting 8- 10 yards more total distance with that combo. It is a firm ball, but feels good off the face( softer than the X LS of previous generations). Approach shots had a nice mid trajectory and spun more than I thought on very firm greens. Around the green, the ball is predictable: it rolls out when you want it and checks when you want it. Firm greens did have a teeny bit more run out. Feel off the putter is firm. Overall a great ball if you struggle with spin or too high launch.

Glad I did, the Chrome Tour X has been a great ball for me thus far( 8 rounds). Great feel off the putter and spins well around the green. Approach shots have been great with the ability to shape the shot. Ball flight is also to my preference hitting the window I like to give me confidence in my shot. Off the tee the ball has great distance. So far I have had a great experience with the new Chrome Tour X; out of bunkers I haven ’ t noted any more scuffs as compared to the ProV1x. I really liked the alignment benefit of the golf ball. Durability was great and it is definitely firmer than the Pro V1, but not crazy firm. It had decent spin around the green and the length off the tee and with irons seemed comparable to my usual ball( pro v1). I am not a great player, but decent. Currently playing to an 8.
