Purchased the blue mirrored mask. Mask and snorkel are very comfortable and form great seal. Adult size fit our entire family. Great clarity and no fogging. The wave guard on the snorkel was excellent at keeping water out. Snorkel has valve to clear water which is a big plus. The flex tube is amazing; providing comfort of mouth piece and alignment with mask. Set is worth the money, and provides for a great snorkeling experience, at any level of experience.

Bought this just before heading to Maui. Worked great for snorkeling either tropical fishes and turtles. Aloha and mahalo.

Wonderful snorkel and mask. Upgraded from Costco set.. so glad I did. Appreciate customer service in selecting at dicks in Hill Countrry Galleria.

I bought this a month ago for a cruise excursion in the Bahamas. It worked great and was comfortable. Although the package says it is fog free, I still had to rub a soapy solution on the inside lens to keep it clear.

I bought the mask the other day and it is far superior to any mask I ever had. The mask is so comfortable and the vision is unreal. Dusk off your wallet and buy it.

I bought these just prior to a quick trip to the Caribbean. Thought they were a bit pricey but I needed to have goggles for the trip. I was extremely pleased with the purchase once I started snorkeling. Great fit and excellent vision. These goggles actually amplify the light when snorkeling; minimal distortion. Worth the extra bucks.

Frequently Asked Questions For Semi-Dry Snorkel

A semi-dry snorkel is designed to minimize water entry while allowing for easy breathing. Unlike traditional snorkels, which can let in water easily, semi-dry models feature a splash guard at the top to reduce the amount of water that can enter. This makes them ideal for calm waters and less turbulent conditions.

Using a semi-dry snorkel offers several advantages, including reduced water intake and easier breathing when submerged. They are particularly beneficial for beginners or those who prefer a more comfortable snorkeling experience. Additionally, they often provide a more streamlined design, which can enhance overall performance in the water.

Yes, semi-dry snorkels are suitable for snorkelers of all skill levels, from beginners to more experienced users. They provide a balance of ease of use and functionality, making them a popular choice for those new to snorkeling as well as seasoned snorkelers looking for convenience. However, more advanced snorkelers may prefer fully dry snorkels for specific conditions.

Semi-dry snorkels are typically made from durable materials such as silicone and plastic, which contribute to their flexibility and comfort. Silicone mouthpieces are often preferred for their softness and ability to create a better seal, while high-quality plastics ensure durability and resistance to saltwater. These materials help enhance the overall performance and longevity of the snorkel.

While semi-dry snorkels are designed to minimize water entry, they are not ideal for very rough or choppy water conditions. In such environments, water can still enter the snorkel despite the splash guard. For more turbulent conditions, snorkelers may want to consider fully dry snorkels, which are specifically designed to prevent water from entering completely.

When selecting a semi-dry snorkel, consider features such as a comfortable mouthpiece, a splash guard to reduce water entry, and a flexible tube for ease of movement. Additionally, look for models with purge valves that allow for easy clearing of any water that may enter. A lightweight and compact design can also enhance portability and ease of use during snorkeling adventures.
