For over four decades I have been a weight lifter and it would be fair to say I might know a few things on the topic. Because it has been so long in training I finally decided to get out of the gyms and take it home. The above named bench is one of the products I bought so I could train at home away from the crowds. Here is what I found. The instructions showed a drawing on paper for every part to be identified. Once identification is made, the instructions went just as they are written and It went together easy. The unit is stable on the floor and is a quality item in strength. I am able to do supine and incline press positions. There is a place on the slant rail to engage a full 90 degree upright position if one wanted back support for shoulders. However, when brought to this position the seat pad and the back pad conflict in the fold as both pads now touch and the unit will not lock into position. I do n't require a full upright position so I have said nothing about it to Dick's. It is a good bench and for me not worth complaining. The adjustable seat pad is great as it will keep you in the saddle and your body stable on the bench with any weight. I like it.
