I like that the slate board is removable so I can chill it ahead of time without taking up the extra space of the wood board in my fridge. It has a catch to keep it from sliding out of the wooden base so no worrying about the slate slipping out when carrying it in the wood base. It is a sizable tray to have enough out for a party that is more than 6 people. It is easy to carry with the two side handles and the bottom has sturdy rubber or some material to keep the tray in place on a table. Very pretty and functional piece.

It is beautiful and classy, it has three removable serving trays( of different sizes) that sit on a ladder that can be collapsed, the trays and ladder are made of natural acacia, it is not dishwasher safe, I clean it with a damp cloth when I am finished using it. The ladder and trays set up easily and collapse and is put away easily as well, it is not heavy and is easy to pick up and move to different areas. I have used it at get- togethers I have had to display cupcakes, little sandwiches, cheeses, pre cut fruits, and other food items.
