[ Smartwool makes more cushioned socks for hiking or skiing and appropriately lighter socks for summer or heavier socks for winter, but these socks are a perfect compromise for every day wear, just as advertised. Enough cushion but not bulky and they stay up without any pinching. They make you forget you are wearing socks. I searched the internet high and low and read that socks made from merino wool would help with the sweaty, smelly problem. I purchased some and tested them out and sure enough! No more smelly feet, no more sweaty feet! Merino wool is the way to go! And the no show part is ideal for the style sock I prefer to wear. Just be careful when washing and drying them because the little sticky part can and has melted away.
