I have been putting with the spider x all sumer with the pistol GTR grip, and have really struggled on distance control, espceially longer putts. Thought maybe the larger grip was the culprit so I changed to this and saw immediate results. I know have feel back in my putting game. I 'm not sure if its the 20 grams less this weighs, or the smaller diameter, but it works. Purchased and installed the Flat large grip on my Cleveland FL Elevado, as I ’ d noticed some shakiness on the takeaway with the stock grip( which, I did like that grip a lot). The reverse taper helped with stability and… my first round with it, had six 1 putts( four of which were from 12- 15 feet) and nine 2 putts( the rest were 3 putts and it happens). Alignment, speed control, weight( being able to feel the putter head more than before) are… well it works as if magically and I ’ m sold. The grip smelled like chemicals( hoping that will go away), and was easy to install myself. Still putt- ing the lights out.

The first time I grabbed this, I knew I needed to regroup my putter. I avoided a super stroke for years because they just didn ’ t feel quick right. I also wasn ’ t particularly happy with the standard golf pride grip on my putter. When I tried this one, it matched the feel I wanted perfectly. It isn ’ t too big not too small. The tech suggested since my new putter was a center shaft zero torque that I try the brand new offset Super Stroke 2. 0. I tried it out of the package and could immediately see the benefit of the offset and how it changes the position of your hands relative to the shaft. I ordered this because I have liked the feel of Flat Cat grips before, I just had a hard time adjusting to the shape they use. I prefer a pistol grip shape, this is not quite what I thought it would be. Somehow it is even better than expected its a little larger but very light the top of the grip is a traditional pistol grip shape, then it levels out into a flat front and slightly rounded underside. The grip also feels much tackier than the other Flat Cats I have used. I am looking forward to putting with the putter I built with this grip.

I found an 80's era Ping B60 on eBay recently. It has the original, slim, OEM Ping putter grip, amazingly still intact! Problem- with my `` meat hook '' hands, I could n't hold onto it, if you know what I mean... Golf Galaxy has the midsize PP58 Ping grips( plain and full cord), and they are amazing! Very comfortable, very durable, and you do n't get that feeling like the putter was meant for a 10yr old boy, LOL... The techs knew of the Ping B60, etc... and quickly and easily, swapped the grips for me while I waited. This new PP58 with full cord is fantastic! I can grip it easily, and it provides a lot more `` feel '' to the putting stroke, much like my prized Odyssey White Hot does. In a nutshell: If you have a Ping putter( or like me, collect older Ping putters...) the new PP58 grips are the best you can buy! You wo n't be disappointed, believe me!

I have an old Ping putter that I love using and the grip was worn so much that the shaft was coming through the top of the grip and cutting my glove when I leaned on the putter. I needed a new SuperStroke putter grip since my original one was well worn. I shopped around and saw the Darth Vader design and chose it. I was n't really focused on the model( 2. 0), so when it was installed, there was a definite difference in the size. When I first used it putting, it took me about 3 rounds to get used to it. Now, I am comfortable with it and really happy with long putts now.

Beginning of the season and the putter I bought at the end of last season still had the second grip installed. Putting was horrible the first round. Decided that I needed to change things up. Researched grips and decided to go with this one along with adding 2. 5 '' to the length. Made a huge difference the next round. Knocked a half dozen plus putts off the round. This putter is basically automatic. I also own a Spider Tour X that cost me an arm and a leg more than this Ping Scottsdale Anser 2D and I have to say it is a dead heat as to which one I like better. In hindsight, I would have saved the money for something else and just gone with the Ping. The insert on this is magical, and feel is off the charts. Basically, feels like a softer milled face putter, and the balance and weight is superior to the many other putters I have tried. As always, the design and materlals used by Ping are top notch-- shaft made in Japan( likely by Nippon or Fujikura), head is made in Vietnam, and it's all assembled in the good ole US of A. Ping designs and materials are unmatched. You get more than what you pay for! Who needs a$ 400+ putter when you can snag this at under$ 250?!

Good entry point into center shaft putters. I ’ ve putted the best I ever have a month after getting this putter. I ’ d recommend getting a ping blackout or cord grip for more control. Everything feels more aligned, the only complaint I have is the face. It ’ ll take you a week or so to get used to the sweet spot, comes off the face slow if you hit the ball with the bottom lip.

I 've been dabbling with blade putters for the longest time. I 've tinkered with the Scottsdale lineup in different stores and really enjoyed the center shafted Tyne C model. This was definitely a better feel than my Scotty and my putts felt like they were going straighter than ever before! The only thing that is tricky is the distance control from 40- 50 ft out. I had zero issue w/ my Scotty on this but I 'll take the trade off for accuracy and learn the distance control soon.

I used the practice green in store and the putter was really good. How ever on the course it did not suit my stroke. Real greens have many different slopes and grain and this putter was too light for me to get a good feel. Our greens are fast but many slopes up and down made the putter to inconsistent mainly because it was too light.
