[ When they say not all things are created equally, they are referring to this backpack. I use it to replace my work bag and boy was it a great choice. I can fit my laptop, cables, mouse, and all my documents in. The compartments and the side zipper allow for easy access. The draw string feature is great as many zippers tend to wear out and I like that you can losen/tighten to your own comfort level. The handle on the top of the back pack is really different from others and is easy on the hands when grabbing. The materials don ’ t feel cheap and they are easy to clean. I like the water bootle compartment as well as the slot to add it to a carry on luggage for easier transportation when traveling. I can see this being used in a variety of ways. I can see myself using it to travel as well. The subtle brand in the front is nice and gives it that high end look. The straps feel really well on the shoulders and the padding is great. I also use this pack regularly for scrambling and climbing in the Chugach as well. The build quality is excellent and despite having probably 340- 350 user days it shows no significant signs of wear. It will bounce a little with running when I have more than 10 pounds or so in it, but this is minimal and manageable. Holds enough gear for a layer, foul weather gear, and some minimal technical gear for a day in the mountains. The water bottle pockets in the front fit a can of bear spray nicely, especially appreciated when negotiating dense alder thickets in bear country. Highly recommended!

6/22: had the Sirrus 24 for years. liked it. Compression- fratured lumbar region early spring. Feared hiking days over. stubborn but realistic: Had to carry pack light and high. Wore same clothes daily, hat, pricey poles. Tied jacket around waist, saved pack space for tent, food, water, rain gear, navigation, first aid, sleeping bag n cooking gear. There was other stuff inside bag, but I forget. Was able to carry light even with food. This pack solved my weight fears: helped me keep all under weight, not stressing back. Wore a lot; usually kept inside pack. Used water bladder. Was able to muster the entire CT in 2022. Cons: not able to reach back and grasp water bottles, pockets on belt too small and plastic zippers ceased in cold. Otherwise; really liked.

The bottle holders on both sides can hold a 40 oz metal bottle and are so deep, the bottles will not fall out. Ultra durable. It has a large open compartment which works great for packing a weightlifting belt, straps, towels, lock and other gym essentials. It has one large front pocket and plenty of side pockets. Received this bag a few days ago, but it already seems like it 'll work great. There's plenty of space inside the bag. For me, it fit 5 notebooks, a decently sized pencil case, a laptop, lunch without looking overstuffed. The straps are comfortable once you 've been wearing it for a few minutes. An added plus is that the bag stands up straight without being propped up on something. Overall, this backpack seems like it's well- made and durable compared to more expensive brands.

I love my Big Agnes 32L pack for long trips abroad but sometimes you need a smaller pack for hikes, light travel, etc. This Osprey fills the bill and I am very impressed with the design. They are well known for the quality and it is obvious in this pack.

This is my first day pack with internal frame. It makes it very comfortable to wear, balancing the weight down onto my hips( even unbelted and even wearing it on one shoulder) and the frame with mesh back keeps my back cooler even in 93 degree humid weather. The pockets are n't ideal. The top front pocket is very small( and if you put a heavy phone there it is unbalanced). The internal( water or laptop) pocket is deep- so anything small put in there is lost to posterity( beware). The water bottle pockets on the side fit a smaller water bottle easily but tougher with anything larger. I used it as a carry on( personal item) and no complaints from the flight attendants about how it fit under the seat in front of me, though the top did stick out a little and I found it to be a bit in the way of stretching my lets. It fit a ton of stuff- I had an umbrella and rain jacket, wallet, cosmetic size bag with electronic cables and earbuds, cosmetic bag with actual cosmetics, book, magazine, two journals, an airport shopping bag( small), and small cosmetic bag with meds in there. There is a helpful clip to attach your neck pillow! It also has a rain cover in a pouch at the bottom that was very useful in a downpour, if a little hard to extract and put in place on the fly.
