VERY wide and boxy. I checked the size chart and ordered the 2x, which matched my chest and waist measurements. I ordered the matching tencel hoodie a size smaller in an xl. The t- shirt is way too big, especially in the width. When it says `` loose fit, '' it's not kidding. I returned and recorded a size down, but considered ordering two sizes down. Regarding this T- It's is n't a rough texture, scratchy or heavy- just not as smooth or lightweight. If he did n't have something to compare, he probably would n't have noticed. He liked the subtle blend of stripe/narrowness of the stripe. He fluctuates between M and L with a 40' chest and no gut. Medium in this shirt was not snug, but loosely form fitting.( versus the same fit for the L in the Cool- Lite). This T was returned because he only wanted one.
