Bought this tent for a family camp trip. It worked well enough for us. 2 kids 2 parents 1 dog fit comfortably. The door zipper does get caught easily in the fabric. Not sure how you would fit 8 people though.

It was great but I wish I 'd have known to tie my own extra knots at the end of the poles because one pulled through two of the poles. I think I can fix and maybe still use, as is. I admit I was nervous about hoisting it up after putting all the poles together myself, but it worked. I did n't use the rain cover.

This tent is very spacious! We put 2 queen air mattress inside! You can stand up throughout. My kids really enjoyed sleeping in the tent!
