Just got done shoveling 13 ” of snow off two walks, patio and driveway. Outside was windy and 10F. Used my Buffs to wrap my ears and nose to my neck. Don ’ t let the light weight fabric fool you, it cuts the wind 100% and retains your body heat. But unlike urethane face masks it breathes. I ’ ve used those rigid wetsuit masks to ski and hike in the Tetons and Rockies and always felt like they made me sweat too much. Next time I ’ ll just use my Buffs.

I ordered Size Small and it ’s loose on me. The sleeve kept sliding down my arm. I am 5 ’ 2 ”, 125 lbs. The quality of the sleeves are excellent…the fabric is not too thin, not too thick. When it stayed up on my arm…it did its job…protected my arms from the hot Hawaiian Sun and kept my arms cool. I ordered 3 colors, black, white and beige. I will figure out a way to keep them up on my arm…somehow secure it to my sleeves.

[ I bought a pair of the white Pearl Izumi sun sleeves last year and loved them. Problem: they 're white so they can pick up dirt and bike grime easily. After repeated use and washing( the seams came apart near the top armband as well), I decided to go with a black pair this summer. We 're just starting spring in Georgia( 60 to 70 degrees, clear skies) and I have no complaints about getting too hot. We 'll see how I feel come the 95- degree days in August!

I love these. I 'm an avid gardener and did it professionally. My skin became damaged on my arms, and I need these to protect them. The bugs do n't bite me on my arms. I use these almost every day for summer running. They reduce how much sunscreen I need to use. They 're much better than wearing a long sleeve sun shirt because if I wear them with a short sleeve sun shirt it allows heat to vent under the arm and keeps me much cooler while still giving full sun protection.
