Lots of people are complaining about this bubble and how it scratches up or how it fogs up a lot. I came from wearing a Z Leader fish bowl in 2000. You wan na talk fogging up? That whole thing fogged up after a couple minutes of skating around. It was awful. So, I was VERY skeptical getting back into the bubble game. However, I absolutely hated playing with a cage. It's quite restricting, and gives me double vision, sometimes, so the cons outweighed the pros. I dove into this one, over the hybrid( cage bottom) shield. This thing is incredible. The clear bottom does n't distract you like the hybrid's cage bottom would. You should n't have any scratches on it, if you use it's protective bag and handle it like the baby that it is. AND... the fogging... is nearly non- existent. I 've played three roller sessions( two cold, one hot), and two ice sessions. It only fogged up at the nose area for a couple seconds, after skating and sweating really hard during the ice sessions. An amazing difference in 15 years of engineering. Truly mind blowing, because I expected it to be awful, after reading all the negative press on this shield. Do yourself a favor and buy this guy. It's night and day compared to a cage, and will improve your game two- fold.

Highly recommend this product for anyone interested. The mask does not fog up at all and I tend to sweat a lot when playing hockey. Well worth the money. Make sure it is compatible with your helmet first. It is very easy to install, only a few screws.

First night going from the visor to the bubble shield> puck to the shield. Holds up! The only downside is that it fogs before the second period. I think if you put it on a Bauer helmet it will fit better and allow air to flow out easier. I have this on a CCM helmet so it hangs a little lower and my breathing hits the shield vs the openings at the bottom. Overall- great fit and very protective. Bring a towel on the bench and you ’ ll be fine.

I ’ ve used this for a few games and I love it. It only fogs when I breath on it and am sitting on the bench taking a break. As soon as I ’ m skating on the ice again it clears right up! This also changed my view and I never realized it was so clear with out the bars! I love it

My son prefers this over his cage face mask because of the increased visibility. In the few weeks that he's had the shield, it has held up great. He stores his helmet( Bauer IMS 5. 0 small) in the bag that came with the shield to prevent scratches from his other equipment in his gear bag. We also initially treated it with an anti- fog spray and have had no issues with fog.

Great shield, tough but light. Probably weighs a bit less than the metal cage( according to my son) Also, I don ’ t know what the other reviewer is talking about, the box came with all the hardware for mounting the visor.

Hockey visors are protective gear designed to shield a player's eyes and face from impacts, flying pucks, and sticks during gameplay. They enhance visibility while providing a layer of safety, which is crucial in a fast-paced sport like hockey. Using a visor can help prevent injuries and maintain focus on the game.
Hockey visors come in various styles, including straight visors and full shields. Straight visors typically cover just the eyes, while full shields provide complete facial protection. The choice between these styles often depends on personal preference, league regulations, and the level of protection desired.
Hockey visors are typically made from durable polycarbonate or similar materials that offer high impact resistance. These materials are lightweight yet strong, ensuring that players can wear them comfortably without compromising safety. Additionally, some visors may feature anti-fog coatings to enhance visibility during play.
When selecting a hockey visor, consider factors such as the level of protection you require, your position on the ice, and any league-specific regulations. It's also important to think about comfort and visibility; some players prefer a full shield for maximum coverage, while others may opt for a straight visor for better airflow. Trying on different styles can help you find the best fit.
Many hockey visors are designed to be adjustable to fit various helmet sizes and shapes. Some models may also offer customization options, such as different tints or finishes, to suit individual preferences. It's essential to ensure that the visor is securely attached to the helmet for optimal protection and performance.
While hockey visors are widely used in many leagues, their usage can vary based on specific league rules and regulations. Some leagues may require visors, while others may have restrictions on certain styles. Always check the guidelines of your league to ensure compliance and safety.
