I am recovering from a right foot Achilles tendon rupture surgery. I have been in a boot for 3 months. I at first needed a sturdy shoe to wear on my left foot to give me support and a little height to get close to matching the boot height. Today I get to wear shoes on both feet but still with heel lifts in my right shoe. It is all working. Great support. The soles are firm, which I love. I don ’ t like soft and mushy. I thought they ’ d be too narrow but they have much more structure than the I, and I like the wider base of the sole on these. The black looks really nice with a few accent colors. I wish the bottom had a funky color like the others, but that ’s just me! I ’ m not a runner or athlete so haven ’ t tested these in actual fitness situations but love them for all day wear to the office. It is fairly stiff so if you wear no- show socks it scratches your foot. Solution... I tie the loop down and make the bow near the tow box, very cute.
