The sole is very lightweight. I do n't regularly need wide shoes, but shoes with a narrow toe box do not fit me well- and these have plenty of room! I can wear them with regular or wool socks. Love these boots. They ’ re really comfortable. I looked at a lot of boots before deciding and I ’ m glad I landed on these. I love the sole. I walk a lot in them and am comfortable, just like my Chaco sandals, and I love having a more aggressive tread on the bottom. They ’ re cute but super functional. I needed to size down. I ’ m usually an 8 in boots but the 7 worked for me better. I have a narrow heel and the my feet were sliding out of the 8s. They ’ re not extremely warm, but they are warmer than a regular casual boot and they are waterproof! I ’ ve worn them outside when there ’s melting snow and my feet stay dry. I just wouldn ’ t buy them as your “ snow boot ”, but they ’ re a great, cute boot for cooler days. I ’ m a teacher who has to be outside quite a bit and I wear them to work all the time.

After the gym I put a skirt or tunic on over my leggings put these boots on and go about my day. They fit true to size. I 'm a 7. 5 to 8 in Fallen, Black and 8 fits great.
