I 've already purchased this shoe 1 time and am purchasing a second pair a week later. The style caught my eye first off. I had seriously injured my leg 2 months ago and my physical therapist suggested I buy Asics, which I did. I 've ALWAYS been a Nike fan though but she said the soles were n't stiff enough. `` One '' of the multiple injuries was a badly broken toe which ca n't be fixed bc its too late. It will take a year to heal, I 'm told. In the meantime, every shoe I 've worn, causes pain... until these!!! I 'm SO happy. They literally support EVERYTHING- from the ankle to the arches( which I do n't really need) to the toes. These are the best shoes I 've had in ages! [ Nike Zoom Vomero 5 ’s are currently my favorite Sneakers! I have more than a few colorways. So when I found out that Nike was coming out with a Roam Winterized version I was super excited to see what the silhouette would look like. These do not disappoint! They have the same great fit and feel of the regular Vomero 5 ’s. Very comfortable and super easy to slide on and go. I really like that the laces just have to be tightened and clipped. The materials would be comparable to almost like a rain coat vibe, allowing the outdoor elements to just slide off. The rubber mudguard adds a rain boot aspect without being an actual boot. I ’ m a big fan of a chunky midsole; and the bright yellow on the sole adds a nice pop of color breaking up the neutrality of this colorway. These do feel slightly heavier but not enough to notice as the day goes on. 10/10!!

Nike uses High Abrasion Rubber Tech( which is less rubber compound than our other XDR rubber technologies) on the outsole which helps make the shoes lighter without compromising durability. Additionally, the grip pattern on the outsole is effective for traction on slippery surfaces.** Fabric:** This winterized version is perfect for wet conditions, thanks to the water- repellent materials used, like you see on some GORETEX jackets. I ’ ve never worn shoes with such fabric features before, and they really enhance my outfits. Since I ’ ve been wearing a lot of cargo pants lately, and these sneakers help elevate my entire look.** What I Liked Most.** One of my favorite features is the shoelaces. They are elastic, so there 's no need to tie them manually. The plastic clip that secures the laces gives the shoes a clean appearance without any laces flopping around. [ Overall I am actually pleasantly surprised with these silver Nike Air Max DN8 shoes. As someone with a normal width foot I feel they have a snug yet comfortable fit to them. But I could see someone with a wide width foot having to size up at minimum a 1/2 size or it could be a squeeze. The toe box isn ’ t tall and roomy but that ’s what I come to expect with a running style shoe. The feel of these shoes as I step is great. Arch support is right where it should be on my women ’s size 7. 5 foot. I can actually feel the soles give a little when I step, probably due to the multiple air pockets under the entire length of each shoe. As for running shorter distances in these shoes, so far so good. The mostly fabric uppers are breathable and help keep my feet from overheating. So as of now they ’ ve been working well for my after work runs and I ’ m hoping this feeling holds up as time goes on. As for the design of these shoes, I think they ’ re eye- catching without being flashy. The simple color pallet of grey, silver, and white all go well together, which also makes it easy for me to style them with many different outfits. The angled lines on the side walls along with the areas of metallic silver coloring helps take your eyes from the front of the shoe all the way to the back. And the circular air pocket bubbles along the entire sole make the shoe more visually interesting. The materials of this shoe seem good for everyday wear and running on pavement. I wouldn ’ t recommend running on a dirt trail or anywhere with water because they definitely are not waterproof and I ’ m not sure how easy the breathable fabric on the uppers would be to clean. But the materials Nike chose to create this shoe make it comfy, breathable, lightweight, and versatile. I think my favorite part about these Air Max DN8 shoes are the air pockets along the whole length of the foot. Not only do I like the look of them, I love the comfort they bring with each step I take. And if I had to change one thing about this shoe, it would be for Nike to include an extra set of different colored laces in the shoebox. I think white laces as an alternate lace color would ’ ve been great, maybe with some silver aglets, to go along with the white soles on the bottom and the metallic silver on the uppers. As I said before, I am definitely satisfied with these Air Max DN8 shoes. I have a feeling this will be the first of many pairs I end up owning.
