These were gifts for family members. They fit well and looked great. My granddaughter is about 5 ’ 7, slender, and the black medium Carhartt bibs( item 104049BLK) fit her well. The brown Carhartt bibs fit my 5 ’ 3 ” daughter- in- law well. I ordered her medium- short( item 104694BRN). They have horses and want to keep warm while cleaning up after and caring for them. The bibs did keep them warm while working and were loose enough to bend, shovel, etc. They are happy with them.

I love these even in spite of the train conductor jokes my coworkers make when I wear them( which is 2- 3 days a week). The fabric is a nice weight( durable yet light enough for working outside in 80- 90 degree heat) and soft. I do wish I had sized up from the `` true fit '' recommendation though. They fit comfortably now, but there 's not much room for shrinkage, so I 'll have to be careful to wash cold and air- dry.( My last pair of the tan version shrunk lengthwise over time because I was too impatient to air- dry them.) For reference: my natural waist is 28- 29 inches, hips are 38- 39 inches. I 'm 5'9, 140 lbs and I got the size small- tall. I think the medium would have fit better from crotch to waist.
