When I was a kid, we had a metal Zim- Zam that we played ALL the time outside in the summer. I was looking for the most similar product, and this is about as close as it gets. We bought this for Grandma's backyard and we have been over there once to use it, and so far, so good, we had a lot of fun. I looked up reviews on websites about this product and some people complained about it breaking in various ways within the first 5 minutes. So far, the tetherball set seems to be of good quality. The only questionable part is the cheap plastic sleeve that needs to be cemented into the ground. Since I did not want a big hunk of concrete in my backyard forever, I went to Home Depot and got a piece of pipe and hammered it into the ground. Bought this for the family but didn ’ t get around to playing it until some friends came over on Labor Day. Took us 10 or 15 mins to get the hang of it, but once we did, we didn ’ t want to stop. Ended up playing in the front yard for 2. 5 hours with a couple buddies and one of their teenage sons. I am a gym teacher for a larger private school. In the spring I have very little access to the gym so I bought this as a way to put it anywhere when I don ’ t have the gym. I did use it this week in the gym. The kids LOVED it!!! It took me about 15 minutes to assemble alone. I had almost 400 kids use it over the 3 days of gym! I used for all grades ok- 8th. I was nervous about kids falling on the net which it proved to hold them if they did. I had a rule not to touch the net. The ball was bouncing great off the net, and kids thought it was meant for professionals! Took me maybe 10 minutes to take down but most of that was the Velcro, I got the 20 ft one. Highly recommend!!!
