It was well ready for this year's season and is fantastic. He uses it in all positions at his age without any issue( pitcher, 1st base, outfield). I bought this baseball glove in store and was sold on the quality. My son is a lefty and we were super excited they even had it in store for him to try on. The employee told us to keep a soft ball in the palm of the glove when putting it away in his baseball bag so it doesn ’ t collapse over time. He also showed him how to properly break it in so my son spent some nights doing that before bed. His old glove was way too stiff and he hated it. Definitely worth the money for a kid who loves baseball.

I bought this for my younger 7yo son to replace his that was misplaced/stolen. I have bought him 2 other gloves before this one. He preferred to use his older brother's old glove, which was a prior version of this. We had that glove for 10 years and just relaced it. It was well worn, but held up pretty well. This is a great glove, breaks in easily, and with care will hold up well. It's great for probably 6- 11 year old size hands. For an adult strength hand, it's very easy to close new. For a kid with shorter fingers/less strength, it needs a little break- in/leather working before they can catch with it.

The glove looks a little big for my 6yr old, however it breaks in so easily and that makes it a breeze for him to use. He's a big 6yr old but it still looks large. He's got very good at picks as well with it. His defense was on lock with this glove. It also can be adjusted for a smaller wrist as well. You just have to relace it to the smaller holes. This also made it easier to catch direct throws as well.
