[ I gave these shorts to my 7 year old son and he likes them. They are light weight and do n't have that mesh material on the inside that regular swim trucks usually have. They dry quickly. I also like that they can be worn as shorts or swim trunks. It makes it nice for days that he might be going swimming but also might not. They have a back pocket. There is a tie in the front but that does not tighten the shorts at all and looks more for looks. They waist is n't very elastic either.

Such a soft and light shirt for spring and summer. Size seems to run true to size or slightly smaller. I got size 5 for my smallish 4. 5 year old and size 2 for my 19 month old who is pretty small for his age. Both fit well with a little room to grow.
