He likes that he can go directly from a zoom call( looks dressy enough on screen) to working outside( durable) to skiing( warmth under a ski jacket). The Freewheel Short Sleeve Jersey is more like a daily driver shirt over a traditional jersey. You can wear it daily for day to day tasks then hit the trail after work. The material is similar to other Outdoor Research shirts in the 2024 clothing catalog. I took the shirt for weekly rides on local trail heads in MD in spring and on the Santos Trails in FL on a work trip. The stretch is nice when you catch a sticker bush and length is nice if you have a long torso. The only con in my opinion is that a bring color would be nice for hunting seasons. I currently have the blue shirt and it looks good.

Loved the extra length in the back and the way the seam design at the shoulders and the stretch fabric gave me freedom of movement on the bike all day. Great fit, very warm and durable. It is as warm as any other merino baselayer I have used the only complaint that I could have with the product is that it is a bit rough and itchy compared to some of the other merino blend baselayers I have used. That being said this is a great value for how warm it is and I would gladly sacrifice with a bit of itchiness for how warm it is an how well it dries.

Fits true to size, I 'm 6' 2 '' 185, size large fits perfect. The material is comfortable, breathes well, and is durable so far. I used to be a short sleeve purist on my rides, but this material is breathable enough that I do n't get hot wearing it on sunny days. Plus the long sleeves protect my arms from the sun and branches along narrow trails. The only disadvantage is it `` holds the stink '' but that is typical for synthetic materials.
