I bought these in white in XL and then in black in L. I like pants loose at the waist and need a long rise. I also got the short length, which sit at my instep( 5' 4 ''). The black ones in the L fit better as to the rise and volume of the legs, but I prefer the looser waist on the XL. I wish designers would give up the hourglass myth of women's bodies: If one needs a L for the hips, one probably does not have a 32 '' waist. The drawstring makes these wearable. Both are comfortable, though, and very light. So I will probably wear the black ones out more, and keep wearing the white ones around the house. Very comfortable style and fabric. I find myself wearing these most days in the Florida warm temps. Very nicely made, as well. I marked `` runs small '' because the elastic at the waist, IMO, should be about 2 inches larger. [ I received these pants for my daughter from Influenster in exchange for our honest review. I admittedly didn ’ t notice that these are Jordan( Michael Jordan brand) pants when picking them out. My daughter selected these for the cargo style. These did not disappoint. The material is very nice, thick and sturdy but also very soft. We got a size M which was a little big on her normal sz 8- 10 child size. However, with the drawstring, she was able to get a decent fit. They are a little long, but nothing she can ’ t work through. Overall, she loves these, and I do as well!
