I thought, why not use a legging as my baselayer and then if I need to strip off, I am not hiking through bramble in my woolies? I was worried as there is no drawstring at the waist, I wondered if the weight of my phone in the side pocket would pull the pants down over time. The good news is that the pants stay up very well. They are very breathable and I consider they will make great warm weather bottoms. The ankle opening is quite narrow- put your socks on after! True to the sizing guide.

I bought the blue and aside from the fact they just look really cool with the two tone color, they fit and feel great. And the thoughtful extras- like deep side pockets- are greatly appreciated. I was provided this model of Ferrosi Hybrid leggings to replace a previous pair( the warranty issue was such a complete fluke that really, I should have bought a lottery ticket because the chances of it happening in another pair of leggings would be next to impossible). So A. GREAT work OR for standing behind your products and B. They were replaced by a newer model. Turns out, this is a super cute legging. I love the pockets- they are placed well, good size, extremely functional. I am not sure if I am entirely sold on the two tone black color. When I pulled them out of the wash the back almost looked navy blue- but it could have been the lighting. I have a weird hangup with black and navy together. Overall I like the fit and great navy color, but as others have noted, I recommend going a size up. I got my regular size and it was a bit too small but wearable. I got a second pair, a size up and it ’s better. Biggest thing is that the front lining is very narrow. I just bought a pair of speedos in the same design/style and the front lining is about twice as wide; the fit/support is a lot better with the Speedo pair, so I hope Nike adjusts this in future versions.

[ I bought the nautical blue in late October. Loved the fit, color and fabric. I checked the chart for measurements and the pants were the perfect fit. The zip pocket will hold a cellphone. I wash with cold water and hang to dry. The pants dry quickly. I bought a second pair in the beetroot color. Nautical navy and black pair well with beetroot. I did purchase the beetroot pine cone print half zip for additional options.
