I work Mountain Patrol in the San Bernardino mountains. I have used the North Face gear for a long time; it has never let me down. This is my second pair of this line, and they get the job done when you need it most.

5 Debbie
I love my new gloves. Used them in the rain and they kept my hands warm and dry. Fit is perfect too.

5 Jean
These gloves remind me of TNF stuff from the 80's, amazing quality and thoughtful design with high end materials.

5 Gichan
These gloves keep your hand dried very well. I have n't used under several weather yet, so I am not sure about waterproof from rain& snow yet. I used these at 10~15 degrees C, and my hands held some sweat. These gloves alone would be good between- 10~10 degree C. You would need extra thermal gears under- 10C. I felt the size runs a little large as I break in. You could do half size down if you want tight fits.

4 Donny
It helps keep my hands warm. But I could still feel some cold breeze coming though.

I own a welding company and just purchased these gloves for wintertime material handling and am super pleased with them. We are hard on gloves and only get a week out of some pairs. These are going on two weeks and still holding up great. The waterproof is also excellent. Have had the fingers submerged several times and have n't leaked yet.

5 Rock718
Very warm and keeps my hands dry best pair of gloves I own

5 Angie
Bought these as a gift for my son who works outside for a living. He said they were great. Water proof, kept his fingers warm, was able to grip tools easily and fit snug but not too tight.

They are durable, warm and comfortable. They probably run a bit on the small side- I ordered a large, which is usually a bit big for my hands, but these fit perfectly- probably due to the insulation. I was working outside with them this past weekend in single digit weather and snow, and they did the job. The cuff is good for keeping warmth in and snow/moisture out. I recommend them.

Absolutely amazing winter work gloves. We have wood burning stove and these gloves are great with snowy, wood chips, etc. the wood doesn ’ t go into the gloves, they are warm, and so comfortable!

[ Very comfortable and flexible gloves. These seem warm and will be great for outdoor winter chores due to the durability of the leather and the waterproofing.

5 HillaryF
[ High quality 3M Thinsulate gloves. These gloves are super warm and soft on the inside. They look rugged with their leather on the outside. Perfect for working outdoors or outdoor activities. They arent stiff meaning you can actually feel what youre trying to pick up. Even come with a removable wrist strap so if needed you can take the gloves off and still know where they are and then quickly put them back on.

5 LindaL
[ The Wells Lamont HydraHyde insulated gloves are perfect for cold weather hand protection. The leather repels moisture but stays flexible. The insulation keeps hands warm in cold weather. I really like the knitted wrist as it keeps snow out. These gloves seem very durable. The downside to these is that my dexterity is n't great when wearing them. My fine motor skill tasks are a bit tricky. Overall, these gloves keep my hands warm and dry, and they are affordable to purchase.

5 GabrielL
[ Great gloves. Super thick material to make sure my hands were protected. Ca n't say enough Great things about them. Easy to wash and store. Would buy again.

5 Ski Gloves
So happy with my purchase. My daughter said her hands have never been warmer or dryer.

5 Active winter sports
I have a pair of these in the 3 finger claw type, they are my colder weather ski gloves. I got these for my teen kid since we go ski in colder temps( under 20F). These are nice and toasty and keep kid's hands warmer than the Scott gloves which are great for above 25F. I was able to get for the same price as Amazon so picking up at Dick's House of Sport was easy and we got to use them the next day. My pair of Hestras are going strong 5+ years later and still fine. At$ 110 the features Hestra should provide but does n't on these gloves were wrist tethers and a clip to keep the pair together( provided on their more expensive gloves) I added both myself which is easy to do. Even though they are expensive I think they will last years and years. Make sure to put the leather conditioner on the leather sections to keep them in good shape( it is sold separately).

[ These gloves are warm, comfortable, durable, and stylish. I haven ’ t owned a pair of leather ski gloves in nearly twenty years and these have lived up to their reputation. I will buy other Hestra gloves for myself and family members.

5 Virginia_John
[ The dexterity I have in these gloves is amazing for how warm they are. The leather is very soft and supple and the liners included are not bulky at all. The gloves fit very well and I am most excited for the included handcuffs.

5 Rjmehan
[ The removable liner makes the gloves good for lighter insulated touring and warm downhill. Found the gloves to be warmer with a more snug fit. I ’ m 6 ’ with average sized hands and the size 9 fits well. The wrist straps come in handy when using bare hands on the lift. I ’ ve had gloves from 4 different major brands and these Hestras outperform them all.

5 MikeyK

5 gigatt2006
They get the job done in generally wet or cold conditions, but not sure how they would handle in the extreme conditions. I did not dunk them in water, but I fell several times and the wet never got through and if synched right, water/snow would not come in the glove at the wrist, but only if I synced them right. It was fine in the cold when it was in the teens, but once it got below 10 degrees F, I felt the cold. I can only assume that is just the way it is, but I did have high expectations of these. For the cost, I would definitely get these again. I was a little disappointed that I had to get the wrist straps and leather balm separately, so part of me regrets not shelling out more to get that included, but also possibly the inserts in the higher end item.

5 Tom1979
Well constructed and warm mittens… Great purchase and would recommend them for anyone looking for warmth and comfort.

Been using Bd gloves for many years and they have always been great but these are hands down the warmest mitt I ’ ve had, which is so great to have for those super chilly days up on the resort. No finger separators which I like as your body heat keeps each digit warm.

5 Nellie W.
These are hands down( haha!) the best mittens ever! I have spent a lifetime of winters with perpetually frozen fingers, desperate for a way to foil Mother Nature. Enter the Black Diamond Mission MX mittens and all I can say is let ’s go outside, and bring on the snow. First of all, this is the first xs mitten that really is extra small and fits me. There ’s loads of insulation but they ’ re not too bulky( they work great with ski poles and trekking poles and give me enough dexterity to make snow balls). They are really well made and packed with features( wrist elastic and Velcro, soft suede on the thumbs, leashes with toggles, super cozy insides, and super weather- proof outsides. And they are WARM! I have yet to come in from the cold to warm up my hands. So happy.

5 Julien M.
Un superbe produit avec des matériaux de grande qualité et un excellent rapport qualité- prix.

Gifting for a women? If you are and she has longer fingers and long nails the men's provide more finger length for a comfortable fit. This is the only difference we could tell between the gender sizing options with the same knuckle width measurements.

Very nice gloves! Very comfortable and classy looking. They heat up well and it seems like the battery life is pretty good. This particular model is more for comfort and leisure than extreme cold temperatures. I plan to wear these riding my motorcycle in 30- 40 degree weather. I wouldn ’ t trust them to handle colder temperatures than that.

I love these gloves. I am a ski patroller and need a warm and functional glove. The mission gloves provide the dexterity I need to manage a taboggan, ropes, and tools. I love the leather palms for gripping ropes and the Velcro wrist straps which keep the snow out and secure the glove easily under the cuff of my jacket. These gloves replaced a pair of BD gloves I used for nearly 6 years.

My son is on snow, 4+ days a week. He ’s blown through a number of other gloves that are more expensive than the spark. I wear other Black Diamond mittens that have always been durable, warm, and comfortable. I ’ m anticipating that these will last longer than other more expensive gloves that my son has worn. Black Diamond makes great product.

5 Mackenzie W.
I ’ ve only bought this pair because my 5 year old pair was stolen. Through probably 40+ patrol days a year and countless ski and touring days these are consistently the best moderate cold gloves I ’ ve ever had. The leather is durable and the insulation is perfect. It ’s an excellent glove. Only con: BD gloves tend to fit a bit big for the size and it isn ’ t consistent across all gloves. Best to try before you order

5 Stephen B.
Hands down these are the best gloves I ’ ve ever worn. I ’ ve had other name brand gloves but the quality of these surpass every other brand.

5 MICHAEL M.
I use these gloves for projects where i need the dexterity of fingers. Like the spark mitts, these had a tight wrist area to keep the snow and cold out and warm and roomy finger area. Also like the leash strap on each glove so they hang off your wrist when you take them off.( No more losing them in the snow)

5 John D.
I mostly use these for winter backcountry skiing. Easy to get on and off. Warm enough and lots of dexterity. Very durable.

5 neil g
The gloves are very well made and extremely warm. Unfortunately they are too big and can not be returned at this purchase site. I would buy again if 1 size smaller available

4 samIam
[ The fit is a bit small, depending on what you plan on doing with them. I bought these in a women's small. I have small hands; my palm circumference is an even 7 '' and the length of my hand is just less than 7 ''. I 've never previously found a women's small to be at all tight, in fact, sometimes I have to order extra smalls, but these gloves are just a tad bit on the small side. They fit perfectly when my hand is curled, as if you 're holding onto your ski poles or something else, but when I try to stretch my hand as open as possible, it feels just a bit tight in the length. So if you plan on standing around with your hand opened wide and pressed down flat, you should size up. The other issue is the gauntlet sleeve is a little tight/small in circumference-- it's just a bit hard to pull on over a parka sleeve, especiallly if one glove is already on. Also, if you want really fine dexterity, these are too thick for that. I found that while the touchscreen fingers do work fine on my phone and tablet, the difficulty comes in in accuracy, due to the thickness of the gloves. I also found it a little difficult to use a sensitive two button mouse without accidental clicks. However, those things aside, the gloves are very comfy/cozy. The inside lining is soft and I have n't yet noticed sweaty palms. They kept me warm and dry working outside in cold and rainy weather, which is what I bought them for. I would have preferred if the palms had been reinforced with another layer of leather, but so far they seem to be holding up to chopping and stacking wood and other miscellaneous odd jobs around a cabin in the woods when it's cold and rainy. I would imagine these would be good for snowsports as well as winter motorcycling, but again, if you 're looking for really fine touchscreen dexterity, I 'd find a thinner glove that maybe is n't as warm/thick.
