This shirt is great for layering or wearing in summer temperatures to help avoid stink. The fabric is on the delicate side so not for bashing through the undergrowth where you would snag it. I like this shirt for summer travels. It packs well, shakes out wrinkles, and dries in a reasonable time. Beginners or experts will appreciate this shirt. I have the patina green in medium size. I go on day hikes at least twice weekly and have this shirt keeps me as comfortable as possible even in 30° Celsius weather. This shirt stays dry as I sweat during my hike. If the weather starts to cool it is easy to put a fleece layer over this one. Lastly, I do n't put this in the dryer after washing as it can become completely dry in an less than an hour in my house where the A/C temperature is set to 20° Celsius. Overall I really like it and I will get a second pair to use when I do the Salkantay Trail in the near future.
