These are my everyday shorts, gym shorts, walking shorts, house shorts, errand shorts, etc. They fit perfect on my waist and have enough coverage that they are comfortable for exercising. You will not regret buying these shorts! I needed to refresh my running collection and ordered several different styles of shorts to try. I returned some much more expensive shorts( very popular brand name) to the store and decided to browse around while I was there. I am so glad I stumbled upon these shorts! They are the most comfortable and best fitting I 've ever owned. The knit waistband is perfection-- does n't dig in, is high- waisted enough that it looks cute with crop tops. The body the shorts are a very lightweight material-- if I had to dig for a negative, it's that they are SO light and airy and sometimes when I 'm running at the gym, I 'll just do a quick glance over my shoulder to make sure I 'm covered. I always am, but they are that breathable and light. But not see- through or sheer. I did buy black and the dark red and ca n't confirm the see- through qualities of the lighter colors. For size reference, I am 5' 6 '', 138#, a 6 in most pants and I bought a medium. I probably could 've gone with a small, but I do n't like things to cut into my waist. The waistband does n't stretch out with wear, so I think the size is perfect.

I was not a huge fan of the low rise versions for coverage reasons and upon trying these on I fell in love. They have slightly more coverage, are super lightweight, beautiful colors, and they are great for strength training and running. Overall a great purchase for the spring/ summer. I ’ d recommend going a size up because they do fit slightly small but also because of the slit in the leg it would be easy to get away with going true to size if you are fine with a tighter waist band.
