I was n't sure what to expect, other than possibly a standard feel of a hoodie. But, when it was delivered, in a very timely fashion, I could n't believe the heft of the hoodie. Not because of the heating elements and the battery pack, but because of the extremely soft fleece lining! This hoodie is very warm and comfortable even without the heated feature. The heated feature is just a bonus along with the intensity settings. I love it! I am really specific about sun shirts because I live and work on boats and wear a sun shirt most days. Full disclosure: I have tried the Crater Lake and Sunshadow before this and really did not like them. The Crater Lake is 1) kind of soft and does n't breath as well as this one and 2) had sloppy sewing so the sleeve hem unravelled after a couple months of wear. The Sunshadow was low stretch and super restricting to wear and the fabric stained really easily. This* Sunblocker* is amazing. The fabric is super quick drying but not scratchy, the sewing is really neat, and the fabric is stretchy and not restrictive. I sized up from S to M and am glad I did. I personally love the crop. It still protects my whole back, even when I bend over, but is n't too long. Overall, I 'm really happy with it!
