My 9 year old son loves it. I got him the black bag with red letters and he was super excited that they match his Jordan 4 Breds. It also has a decent barrier between the compartments. He put a full bottle of water in the smaller compartment and it opened somehow and it got everywhere. But it barely let any water from the smaller to bigger part. Best travel backpack I have purchased. Tough and durable, it is really well designed and assembled. Plenty of pockets, almost everything is secured behind a zipper. It fits easily under the seat on a SWA flight. Front pocket for your tickets, top shallow pocked for phone, wallet, and watch while going through TSA. Stands up and is pretty balanced. I have this as a backpack and I love it. I am still in high school and I honestly could n't want a better bag. In my opinion it is a little small for all the stuff I had but not too bad. I love the look of it, the skinny cute bag is so nice and i love the light blue on gray. The side pockets are a bit small for all water bottles but most of the time i do n't have a hard time pushing my bottles in. My son picked this out to carry his lacrosse gear. This is a great backpack with plenty of room. There ’s a separate, zippered compartment on the bottom for his cleats. It also fits a pair of flip flops. The main compartment fits his shoulder pads, elbow pads, and gloves, and has some extra room for his jersey, small towel, and clean shirt. There ’s also a smaller pocket on the front that he puts his mouth guard in. Side pockets for water bottle and of course it also has straps for his stick. Very happy with this purchase!

A little background- back in July, I started on my weight loss journey. Even though I was going to the gym 2- 3 times a day and working full time, I would often use a reusable grocery bag to hold my gear. In September, I hit my goal of 25 pounds and treated myself to a new bag. I needed a bag that: 1. Did n't look like a gym bag. I did n't want a duffle look since I had to take this with me into work as well 2. Was big enough to actually fit clothes. Some days I would have two pairs of shoes, a swimming suit, towel, hoodie and regular clothes in addition to the gym clothes I was already wearing. 3. Had different compartments to hide my valuables. I put my wallet in my bag rather than bring a purse, so I needed a way to keep them safe as well. I did a lot of research, and I found this bag. The price was right, but it was online only. I had some concerns if it would be as big as I needed. Well, it turns out that it surpassed my expectations! This has been the best bag I could have asked for. It can handle all my needs and then some. I use the front pocket for toiletries, middle pocket for my wallet and the big pocket for my clothes/water bottle. My keys and phone go in a side pocket, and I 've had no issues. The best part is how easy it is to carry. I 've found with duffles or other bags that I would throw it on a shoulder that would then fall off. With this, I have no issues. It's so easy to adjust and throw on( or into the car). AND it does n't look super obvious at work that I 'm working out. So while there are a lot of reviews for this bag from student athletes, it gets a thumbs up from an adult gym rat too!

I recently went on a camping trip to Big Pine, CA. I hiked up to First and Second Lake which was about an 11. 3 mile hike and roughly 6. 5 hours. The Tempest 9 was perfect! I was able to fit a 3L hydration pack, my snacks, a small first aid kit and other items for the hike. I was a little worried the Tempest 9 was going to be too small, but it did the job. When it came time to selecting a size, I measured at 17 '' '' so I could have gone with either the XS/S or the M/L, I went with the XS/S, however, wished I would have went with the M/L. The hipbelt ended up coming up to my bellybutton. Overall, I am really happy with this backpack!

[ My wife loves this backpack. She ’s 5 ’ even, which means a lot of frames can be too big. Osprey put together a great fit, and she loves the hip belt system. The pack also seems really well- made.

Spent three months backpacking in Europe upon my retirement, at age 65, with this wonderful Osprey backpack! We traveled in all kinds of weather and used all modes of transportation! Also, have been backcountry camping in Canada, California, and Colorado! She still looks new after a busy 10 years on and off the trails! I am currently looking to downsize to a smaller Osprey backpack…walking the Camino in a few months! Only an Osprey works for me!!

Bought this pack for a short backpacking trip on the Napali Coast. I have lower back pain so I needed a pack that distributed the weight very well. My pack was about 30- 35lbs and I made it the entire trip without any pain or even soreness in my low back. It was quite incredible considering the many elevation changes- I 'm definitely impressed. I will say that toward the end on our hike out my shoulders began to cramp up so I had to do some adjusting to the straps but I think it's just I did n't have it set right. I really really love this pack and it's worth the investment!

[ Our first packaging trip, and it was perfect! I tried on a few different packs, and this one was by far the most comfortable. Though it was uncomfortable under the straps at times, as I suspect they all would have been considering the weight I was carrying, I did not have any pains or soreness after removing the pack. Alsp, lots of pockets for organization and places to attach items to the outside of the pack.
