[ With fall quickly approaching, I needed to update my wardrobe to keep my outdoor runs comfortable as the temperature begins to drop. Summer training gear is everywhere, and winter running usually means a standard hoodie and beanie for me, but I ’ d never found the perfect fall hoodie... until now! The Notch Thermal Hoodie might just be my favorite piece of clothing I ’ ve ever owned. I love it so much that I wear it 24/7 indoors on rest days, too. The material is the ideal thickness, with a ribbed, terrycloth- like grid on the inside that ’s soft against the skin and keeps me perfectly dry, even during long runs. Along with thumb holes, it features a watch window. I 've never seen this before, but it's an absolutely brilliant detail, because it lets me check my pace without fumbling with my sleeves, while still keeping my arms warm. The hoodie seems incredibly durable as well! I ’ ve worn and washed it multiple times in the past month, and it still looks brand new. The fit is true to size, though I ordered one size up for a slouchier feel. I can definitely see myself picking up more colors in the future!

[ The Brooks Notch Thermal Hoodie 3. 0 has become my go- to running hoodie. I have been so excited about the watch window in the sleeve! It allows me check my splits and track workouts on my watch without having to roll up my sleeve, all while keeping my hands warm. Along with that, the thumbholes are a nice touch, helping keep the sleeves in place during harder efforts and giving a bit of extra warmth to my palms. Since I do a lot of running at night, I really appreciate the reflective trim on the back. It makes me feel more visible to drivers and gives me peace of mind when running in the dark. Another great feature is the antimicrobial treatment, which keeps the hoodie smelling fresh even after multiple workouts without washing! The waffle- textured interior is also excellent. It wicks moisture well and provides insulation without overheating. I ’ ve found it keeps me comfortable across a wide range of chilly temperatures. Overall, this hoodie is perfect. It has great features, comfort, and performance!

[ This shirt has a lot of thoughtful features for cold weather. The watch window is a great option for colder weather to help keep my wrists and hands covered but still access my running watch screen. Along those lines, the thumbholes keep sleeves from riding up while I ’ m running so my whole arm is covered when running in cold/wind. I ’ m 6 ’ 4 ” so I was pleasantly surprised that the shirt was long enough for my arms and torso. As an early morning runner and late night dog walker, I appreciate the safety feature with reflective trim on the back. There is the right balance of having reflective trim without looking odd during the daytime. I ’ m a frequent runner and I don ’ t wash my outer layer every day in the winter. I think the antimicrobial treatment is a good feature. Other features I like include the comfortable material, the blue color, and the hood for wind/light rain.

[ I am not an avid runner by any means, but I do love getting in some quality personal time by jogging a trail we made through our property in the woods. We are just starting to experience chilly mornings on the East Coast with temps in the 40's most early mornings. This hoodie is absolutely perfect this time of year. It's extremely light to wear but incredibly warm. My favorite features are the thumb holes and the hidden mittens! It is so versatile and can be something I throw on the take a run in the woods or a grocery run! The color and texture is the perfect addition to any wardrobe. I 've worn it with 3 different color yoga leggings and it looked amazing each time. The roll up hood is also something very helpful if you are anything like I am, and do n't like to have a hood bouncing and hitting your head on your run. [ This hoodie is very lightweight and comfortable to wear. It keeps me warm on a run without overheating. The material is very flexible and not bothersome or irritating while out on a casual run. My favorite feature is the folding sleeve to create a mitten around your hands. The only downside is related more to a personal preference. I tend to like slightly longer tops and this seems a tad shorter then I might normally go for, however I would say it ’s probably standard length for these types of tops.

It keeps me warm if I ’ m doing a morning run, and fits nicely so there isn ’ t anything loose hanging down when I ’ m running. I also love how it can keep me warm while not being bulky at all. The hood is also a nice addition that doesn ’ t get in the way, but is nice to have if it starts to rain during a run. It does a great job at regulating body temperature, keeping me warm while not getting me too hot or sweaty. The inside is very soft unlike other similar hoodies that are a spandex material. The odor blocking technology has worked good as this hoodie always smells fresh after washes, which can sometimes be a problem with workout gear. I wouldn ’ t change anything about the Notch Thermal Hoodie, it ’s a great hoodie for my morning runs.

[ Awesome thermal for those chilly morning runs in Massachusetts! I love the feel of this hoodie. Its lightweight and soft, but keeps your core warm while outside. I was surprised at how well if kept me protected from the chill. This thermal is now my favorite layer when I go out for a run and even a walk with my daughter. I also love the way it has a little window for my apple watch to peek through. So far I have washed this quite a few times and it still has held it shape and looks great! My only complaint is I wish it was a tiny bit longer since I do find it short in the torso area. Overall, this is an excellent choice for those chilly morning runs, but even to have as an added layer when you are watching kid's soccer for the sidelines!

[ This hoodie is great. It is warm but not hot. Super soft, some tech shirts can be itchy but this is not! I wear it all the time and it works great for all kinds of things even casual. I love the thumb holes and how it has two sets so you can cover your hands as needed the sleeves are also perfect for me. Usually sleeves are short as I am 6 ’ but even in the back thumb holes it is not tight. It is very breathable and flexible which keep it from impending motion. I love it and will be using it a lot.

[ This jacket is warm despite how light it is. I don ’ t think it ’ ll hold up once it gets too far below freezing, but I ’ ve been running in around 40 degree Fahrenheit weather and I ’ ve had no problem staying warm. I like the thumb holes in the jacket to help keep my hands warm, even if I eventually will start wearing gloves anyway once it gets colder. Those holes are helpful when it ’s the end of fall/beginning of winter. On top of the functionality, the jacket also looks very sleek and forms to the body well. I ’ ll probably wear this casually every once in awhile as well because it looks that good. Only complaint I have is with the hood. Luckily it ’s fairly light so it ’s not too distracting, but it ’s still a pain to go out for a run with my hood bouncing around. You can tuck the hood with the strap that comes with the jacket, but that ’s still a pain( albeit a small one) to roll up and even then it ’s not a perfect solution. Overall, I highly recommend this jacket! Definitely a keeper for my workout outfit rotation.

[ Brooks made a really nice quality hoodie. The material is a cross between athletic moisture wicking type and a thermal ribbed type. Material is fairly thin, but provides surprising warmth due to thermal ribs. It ’s great for running or outdoor exercise in cooler temperatures. I ’ ve been wearing it more as casual work/everyday attire. It provides about as much warmth as a long sleeve thermal shirt. I wouldn ’ t wear it in extreme cold but works well as a mid layer when temperatures are down. The thermal hood can be rolled up if you ’ re not using it. Medium size fits a 5 ’ 6 ”, 160lb male with athletic build very well. Sleeves and torso length are just right. Slightly form fitted with room for movement. Material is elastic and stretches. Zipper stash pocket and thumb holes are nice features. I ’ m very happy with the look and feel of this hoodie and would recommend to anyone looking for a nice athletic type hoodie.

[ I must say I ’ ve really enjoyed this shirt! The material is amazing! Warm enough but breathable with a great four way stretch in it! It ’s very comfortable and a perfect base layer when it needs to be! I also love the hood, it ’s shaped to my head, not tented or baggy. Fit is more on the fitted side but not so much that I ’ d size up just doesn ’ t have any loose areas. Love it! Definitely will buy more of these!
