They keep you dry and warm all day long and they don ’ t bind while under regular clothes. ... I received this set of base layer pants for a Carhartt Crew Filed Test to test its warmth, comfort, and durability in real world working

Bought these to use as an alternative to fleece lined work pants. Much prefer these as it provides more flexibility, yet keeps you warm. They fit well and pair with my canvas work pants. I particularly like the idea that if the weather warms up enough, I can simply take them off, whereas with lined pants, you 're stuck unless you keep an additional pair of pants with you. These launder well too. The seams in them are placed well so there's no `` tugging '' or tightness. To me, they 're a great cold weather investment.

[ Really good and very warm comfortable insulated pants.

I received this set of base layer pants for a Carhartt Crew Filed Test to test its warmth, comfort, and durability in real world working conditions. This is by far the warmest and most comfortable set of base layer pants I have ever worn. I wore them over the winter in Colorado and Wyoming in cold weather, heavy snow, and strong winds. I was warm and comfortable no matter what Mother Nature threw at me. They wick away moisture and move with me all day. I would recommend this base layer for anyone who works outdoors in the winter.

Received these thermal pants for Carhartt field testing. They strike a nice balance between being very warm, lightweight, and comfortable. Wore under double- front jeans or canvas pants in single- digit temperatures with negative wind chills and my legs stayed warm while moving/working. Their light weight is nice for putting in a pack if it gets too warm while hunting or hiking. They are also comfortable to lounge in in warmer temperatures! Pants are true to size and seem durable, however, I have heard thread stretching when I put them on from time to time( I wear size large and am between a 34- 36 waist).

[ My old lady and I have the smart wool top and bottom 250 base layer set. They are exactly what you expect from smart wool. Great quality, the warmth I needed, and pretty useful in most conditions. If you need a base layer or something lightweight to wear on a chilly/cold night- These are useful and for great value.

[ At first these pants feel sort of itchy but once you 're moving around in them it's very comfortable. I first wore them in 35- 40F under normal hiking pants and was too warm while moving. They do regulate body temp well but I wo n't be wearing these hiking unless it's below 35F. I 'm also not a cold bodied person and I move fast.

[ I am an avid walker and must have my daily jaunt or I will go bonkers. I have hiked in all weather from the cold sub temps of Minnesota to the rainy and windy winters of Texas. Having warm thermals are essential. Searching online reviews, Smartwool keeps popping up. My wife and I bought two sets each of tops and bottoms and she just simply loved them instantly When ever the temp dips she gleefully pulls on her Smartwool NTS and a shell and she is out the doors. The material is just the right thickness and the seams are well hidden. It instant warms the body and as claimed, do not smell after a few uses As for durability we have to wait and see. We have other woolen garments and we can see these products appear to be durable. No regrets buying them but regrettably the color choices are limited due to stocks available.

I am impressed with my Carhartt Poly- wool bottom. I received the thermal as part of a Carhartt Crew Field Test, but I will be ordering two more complete sets. I am truly amazed at how well this bottom works to keep me warm. One must understand, I am constantly cold, so to me, this is amazing. I am 5ft 3in, and weigh 115lbs, and the small works well for me. I have laundered it, with no ill effects. It has retained it's shape and fit very well. The bottom also fits perfectly under skinny jeans, without bunching or showing. I live in Iowa, and it gets cold here. While wearing this pair of thermal bottoms, I stayed warm. It really goes long way in cutting the harsh winds we get out here on the prairie. I can honestly recommend this thermal bottom to anyone who gets cold in the winter.

[ These are a really cozy and warm bottom layer for Winter. They run warm, so on a cold day, they are perfect. The waistline band can become bunched from wear and washing so you may need to reposition it after a few washings. Otherwise, a fabulous warm bottom layer that has a soft wool fabric.

Super comfortable first wear while on a 2 day backpacking trip. It made a great base layer and then when temps when up it was nice on its own. And a layer of sun protection with long sleeves! I recommend this shirt and look forward to using again on the next hike and for my trip to the Tetons next month( as well as trying as a base layer for snow skiing!).

I received the Base Force Midweight Tech Crew Thermals as part of a Carhartt Crew field test and I'am so happy I did because I love these thermals! My favorite part is the thumb loopholes that keeps your thermal shirt in place when you layer over top of it with jackets or sweatshirts. The thermal is very comfortable and kept me dry at all times. It has sweat wicking& prevents odor. You can not go wrong with this thermal and I highly recommend it.

MELANIEW
I couldn ’ t be happier about being chosen to field test this set! As requested I wore these as much as possible( 3- 4 x a week)! These are honestly the best thermals I ’ ve ever worn!! Whom ever designed these thought of everything!! From the warm ultra soft moisture wicking fabric that keeps you dry and toasty, to the stay in place thumb holes in the top for comfort, you couldn ’ t ask for better thermals!!

Love the deep purple, top base layer! It fit really well and was long enough despite my 5' 11 '' height. If you are a C cup or bigger, you might want to size up, but for anything smaller it should work. It's odd that this was long enough but the matching pants are not as I 'm very proportional. In any event, I 'm grateful to have this top and I love the feminine color! Thank you!

I work outside at our airport, mostly outside for hours at a time, sometimes in and out in and out. This piece surprised me. It ’s warm, breathes and I don ’ t get sweaty going from cold to warm. These leggings worked great as `` long underwear '' when I need to be out in the cold.
Work and sport long underwear provide essential insulation and moisture-wicking properties, making them ideal for both active and sedentary environments. They help regulate body temperature, keeping you warm in cold conditions while allowing breathability during physical activities. This combination enhances comfort and performance, whether you're working outdoors or engaging in sports.
Work and sport long underwear are typically made from a blend of synthetic fabrics, such as polyester and nylon, along with natural fibers like merino wool. These materials are chosen for their durability, moisture-wicking capabilities, and ability to provide warmth without bulk. Additionally, some options may feature special treatments for odor resistance and enhanced stretch.
When selecting work and sport long underwear, consider a fit that allows for ease of movement while still being snug enough to trap heat. Look for options that offer a range of sizes and styles, including fitted and relaxed fits, to suit your personal preference and activity level. It's also important to consider layering; ensure that the long underwear fits comfortably under your outer clothing.
Yes, work and sport long underwear can be worn in various seasons, depending on the weight and material. Lightweight options are suitable for warmer weather, providing moisture management without overheating, while heavier weights are designed for colder climates, offering insulation and warmth. Choosing the right type based on the season and activity will enhance your comfort.
Work and sport long underwear are versatile and can be used for a wide range of activities, including outdoor sports, hiking, and even everyday wear in colder conditions. They are particularly beneficial for activities that involve prolonged exposure to cold environments, as they help maintain body heat and wick away sweat. Whether you're working outdoors or engaging in athletic pursuits, they provide essential support.
To maintain the longevity of work and sport long underwear, it's important to follow proper care instructions. Generally, washing them in cold water and avoiding fabric softeners will help preserve their moisture-wicking properties. Additionally, air drying is often recommended to prevent shrinkage and damage from high heat, ensuring they remain in good condition for future use.
