We bought this for my son as we got more into backpacking. This pack is versatile and handles his gear nicely. It isn ’ t unusual for him to strap the sleeping pad to the bottom of the pack. We use light gear, but definitely not all ultralight ultra compact gear. Durability is not a concern. I have a larger 80L pack and am considering getting this same pack for a more compact carry. I would say this pack could fit the bill for beginners and advanced users alike.

love the bag, great colors, size, utility,... only gripe is that the outer bottom should have the same weather resistant material as the outer sides... when i set this bag down on the ground it soaks up water from the wet earth... not ideal... which does happen more often then you would think... for example at a soccer match if the field got wet the day before... but other then this, i love this bag!

This backpack is well proportioned and has all of the right amount of pockets for storage of all sizes of items for your journey. It is also comfortable to wear which is a must. My only complaints are two minor things. First, the bottom zipper where the sleeping bag goes can get stuck easily on the zipper guard/overhang. Second, the padding on the waistline can soak up a lot of sweat. But overall a great backpack and looks cool too. I will keep it for years to come.
