These are super comfortable, cruisers with some responsiveness. I run 5- 6 half- marathon races per year and average around 30 miles/week for training, so I go through many shoes. These have become one of my favorite Adidas running shoes now- that means a lot because I have every Adidas performance line running shoes. I just got these last week and put in about 10 miles. I like the previous Rise 2, and this one is better in terms of comfort and shock absorption. The previous version was a bit firm but had a good energy return. I prefer Rise 3 much better as a long run and daily trainer companion.

My son is a 6' 2 '' CB/WR prospect drawing interest from multiple D1 schools. I bought him these cleats because I am an Anthony Edwards fanboy. I had to bribe my son, who is/was an ardent fan of a different brand, to try these cleats. He has now worn them more than 10x and says they are the best cleats he has ever worn. I specifically asked him about heal slippage because he has had problems with that in the past and he says that there is none.
