... and let me tell you why. I 've been on the hunt for an affordable, lightweight, rollable and packable stadium seat/chair for canoe camping. You ca n't see it in their picture, but you can remove the padding and the metal bars( which are wrapped in padding and different fabrics) that are on the sides to help it keep its shape. It's almost like they knew folks might want to remove some pieces, so they made it so you can easily take them out and put them back in. I 'm returning to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area in a couple weeks and I 'm sick of going and having nothing to lean on at camp, sometimes logs but it's still uncomfortable- my back just hurts every trip. I was able to remove the back and bottom cushions and the bottom bars. I found that to keep the chair usable I had to leave the back bars in. The construction seems pretty solid, and if something happened I think I could mend it easily with some fabric thread and a good needle. Very elated to stumble upon this option, as there seems to be very little out there for what I was looking for.

I purchased this seat in hopes that it would give me a little more support than the original seat in my kayak. I did n't even remove the old seat. I just inflated the lumbar back( fabulous) I must say and sat it in the kayak over the original seat. The new seat is a little higher on my back and the lumbar area gives me the support for a very comfortable ride. I have had back surgery in the low back area and when I would spend time on the water, I always had back pain. I have a regular seat and later on learnt about this lumbar support seat. I ordered one and was glad I did cause after a few hours on the water the lumbar seat definitely helps prevent a sore lower back. I use it in my Advanced Elements Convertible( 2 person) kayak. I would recommend it and trust me you wo n't regret it. Its worth the money.

Bought the seat for my toddler so we could share some fresh air while keeping socially distant. The installation took less than twenty minutes and taking the seat on and off as needed is a breeze. Riding with my son on the back is as good as can be expected, though standing up from the saddle to get up a hill is not something I can recommend as the seat whips as the bike rocks back and forth.

We bought the Yep Nexxt Maxi a couple months ago for my two year old daughter. She absolutely loves it. The construction is solid and the frame mounting provides a good amount of shock absorption. I really like it too. Unlike the front mounted seat we have before, it has no impact on my riding style and does not interfere with stopping and starting when riding in traffic. The harness is great, but you have to make sure you get it tight around the legs before snugging around the shoulders, or the shoulders can become loose as the webbing around the legs tightens. The foot holders are fantastic. They hold tight during the ride and prevent errant kicking and are east to secure and remove.

It has a really wonderful adjuster system that allows for your child to grow and still be secure and comfortable. The feet straps AND the magnetic buckles are especially easy. We purchased a second base, and think this is a great strategy to not be tied to one bicycle if you and your partner have a different size bike! The one constructive feedback is it can be a little bouncy for baby down hill because of its attachment. Acceleration and upwards baby is very stable.

The seat installs easily. Beware that if your top tube is heavily tapered, the rods won ’ t lift the seat high enough to clear the rear tire. We couldn ’ t install it on my wife ’s COOP DRT 1. 1 but it works great on my Cannondale Trail 2. Lookup pictures online and you ’ ll see what I mean about how low the bracket had to mount on her bike. Our daughter loves it. We got it because we have other Burley equipment and were upgrading from a front- mounted to a rear- mounted setup as our daughter got older and hence, taller. With a helmet on she can turn her head comfortably. We opted for the recliner thinking she may sleep in it, but she hasn ’ t yet. Hopefully someday she does. We rode green singletrack( El Dorado at Post Canyon, Hood River, Oregon) with it and it handled it. Bottom line, you ’ re going to like it.
