These are superior should pads- with better back padding( over the spine), torso padding drops( lower close to the stomach), and chest. The shoulders are exaggerated to give a bigger look than other models. The extra padding comes with extra weight, so be aware of that. I wish that the manufacturers would make the shoulder pads a little higher to provide better clavicle protection/ under the neck protection. This should be part of the shoulder pad, not a neck protector bib.
