The expanded sole provides a supportive feel, and once I started wearing them they started to mold around my foot. If between sizes, may want to size up but they fit pretty true to size. A podiatrist told me to wear non- flexible shoes, so he introduced me to HOKA shoes, which do not flex as he said.
