The cushioning on these is next- level, super soft but still supportive enough for walking around all day. One thing I really appreciate is that they ’ re perfect for wider feet. They give your toes room to breathe without feeling loose or floppy. Just a heads- up though — they do run a bit big, so you might want to size down if you ’ re between sizes. I just spent 3 weeks in the Bahamas with this sandal. It performed exceptionally well. I spent time at Atlantis water park, went on 4 fishing charter, scrambled on very jagged limestone reef, walked miles around Nassau, etc The sole is very sticky, even when wet. The sole is also very tough. I hiked on some very nasty, sharp, pointy, jagged limestone reef with no issues. I was very impressed with how well these performed.

The width is perfect for me and the comfort is amazing. Great with shorts or jeans, and perfect if you have to get your feet wet to “ retrieve ” your retriever. Also a great deck shoe on the boat. The OHANA Palua is popular for a reason. I own many Olukai flip flops and have become keen on what separates the line up. The OHANA Palua has a softer and more pliable foot bed over the Ulele. It's even more squishy than the new Ahi Kai. The straps are also more relaxed over the top of your foot. The arch height and construction is exactly the same as the Ulele. The OHANA is slightly wider than the Ulele but not drastically. The Ohana feels a bit more luxurious and I like the coral inspired grip. These will last a few years. Sizing is tricky with Olukai. I wear a 11. 5 in a running shoe but the way they size their sandals I wear a OluKai men's 11 if I want them a bit loose and size 10 if I want a more fitted but length. Size 10 is only. 50 of a inch shorter than a 11. This one I went with a size 11 and they are a tad big but wont requier and break in like a size 10 would. I own about them all and the Ohona family might be my favorite do- it- all sandal from vacations to daily wear.

[ I love the quality of the flip flops. They are super comfortable and are very appealing to the eyeballs! They say the soles are laser cut for better traction and I understand what they mean. They are super grippy. The only negative I would have to say is they are a bit pricey but, as anything else, you get what you pay for and with these you are getting a very high quality product that I feel will last many years.

No sore spots, but the `` neoprene '' padding covering the plastic triangle is cut shorter than my previous pair of Tevas and likes to fold under my foot everytime I put them on. Once straightened, it stays in place but is a little bit annoying each time I put them on.
