I 'm impressed with the freedom of movement, plus the fact that it fits comfortably in my normal shoe. I broke my left ankle 5 years ago and tore all the ligaments off the bone, so am prone to rolling my ankle. My lace up brace was bulky and the nylon slipped in my shoe. I 'd recommend this brace to anybody with existing ankle issues.

I bought this to replace my ShockDoctor 851. The 851 worked well but was too bulky inside my hiking boot and sometimes a little challenging to take off and put on in the field. I 've had ankle reconstructive surgery and need to protect my ankle in the back country. I 've been wearing it around the house and so far, so good. Its light, comfortable and easy to put on and take off. It fits well inside by boot. The real test will be on my next 25- miler. I 'm encouraged so far.
