I love this bag, but it barely fits my daughter ’s helmet. It ’s a tight squeeze to fit her helmet, glove and face shield. Also, the design for the bay holder is plain dumb. I literally have to put it in handle up through the tight loop them put the barrel in the slot that doesn ’ t even look like it ’s meant for it. But it works. Bought this for a spring backcountry ski mountaineering trip up to the summit of Shasta. Was absolutely perfect. Jammed everything I needed inside: shovel/ probe/ boot crampons/ ski crampons/ layers/ food/ water/ misc/ etc... Fast in the transitions, great for slinging skis, lightweight, easy to dig around for snacks and layers etc... Perfect Pack for a day backcountry guiding or a multi day backcountry adventure. I use this pack daily. It fits everything I need for a day of splitboarding with room to spare for the extra large puffy on those chilly days. Perfect amount of pockets for me. I put my rescue gear in the front pouch and everything else in the middle. Snacks, headlamp, inreach, etc in the top pocket. I also love the way it rides on my board while its strapped on, I can snug it down with little shifting movement. The upside of this pack is that it doubles as a climbing pack.
