This is a nice power brick that does the normal power brick stuff. I use it for camping and around the house when I am not near an outlet. It will charge my phone 2- 3 times, and added 40% to my jumbo iPad. I ’ m a fan of the quick USB- C quick charging. I discovered one hidden feature when camping, and this may be a happy accident. I didn ’ t see mention of this on the website…. When I was trying to plug my phone in while camping last time, I noticed that if I hit the button on the side of the power bank that it not only lit up the bars showing battery life, but it also lit up the plug charge holes. This is a really helpful feature when I don ’ t have a flashlight handy to figure out how to plug in at night. Whether this is clever design or a good accident, I like it.

[ Ampex was kind enough to send me this because I purchased a Tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, and backpack all from them. If I was able to do this over again I would. The Rambler has quickly become an indispensable travel companion. I 've taken it camping, used it to power my laptop at the coffee shop and I have even flown across the country with it. I was a little bit worried that it would get flagged by TSA, but I have had no issues with it in my carry- on bag. I especially love that I do n't have to search for a power outlet at the terminal when I am flying. I remember Midland radios from back in the hay- day of CB ’s, the 1970s. Always good quality and a good signal. I am a licensed Ham Radio Operator today and I am still impressed by the quality of workmanship and quality of signal. The ER- 310 has many great features but one stands out for me; Other “ emergency crank radios ” can only be charged by solar or crank… both taking a long time. The ER- 310 can also be charged with an included USB cable. This makes re- charging SO MUCH EASIER. I have bought 4 radios now; for myself and other Ham Radio friends. They all enjoy and appreciate these fine radios. Especially during Hurricane Season here in FLorida.

We ’ re very pleased with this radio. It performs exactly as advertised. I hope we never need to use it in a serious emergency, which here in Florida would be a major hurricane, and some occasional tornadoes, but I have confidence in it. A major issue here is power loss for extended periods, which has happened before. I like that it has multiple power options, in addition to plug- in AC. The solar, battery( both Li- ion and double- AA), plus hand crank sources should keep us connected. I also like 2 features I think are quite clever, but potentially important. One is the continuous SOS beacon. We ’ ve had hurricanes where flooding has marooned people onto their roofs, even into trees. This could attract rescue aircraft. Second is the dog whistle. We might not use that locally, but if we tried to evacuate with our car, and subsequently became blocked and stranded, perhaps had to abandon the car, search& rescue teams might find us. That ’s also where its self- contained portability is a plus. My only suggestion might be making the radio water resistant. Since heavy rain& flooding are typical with most of the weather threats we ’ ve faced here.

[ My son easily transitioned from an E95 to this E200. Assembly took about 3 minutes and then we charged it for 12 hours before it was turned on and driven for the first time. He likes that he doesn ’ t need to “ kick- to- start ” anymore with the E200, he hops on its full size deck, twists the throttle( no more button!) and off he goes. The bigger wheels and chain driven motor make this a fast, smooth ride. The E200 goes up our driveway and through our grass without any hesitation or slow- down. I bought this as a christmas gift for my wife thinking she would use it on camping trips when it's super cold. Turns out she uses it every day. It's only been a couple of weeks and I think she's had it on every hike so far. She uses it most nights before bed and when we 're watching a movie on the couch. This thing get hot and it does so very quickly. We 're finding the battery lasts just a bit longer than advertised, but she tries to keep it on `` low '' for most of he use. Once it's hot, she usually just turns it off.

I got this primarily for motorcycling in colder weather. It works great. I can wear this with my jacket and jacket liner and I do n't have to wear other layers. I 've only used it so far riding in 50 degree weather but it was warm enough I had to turn it down or off. I usually wear a large but wanted it to fit tighter so I got a medium. The medium fits great. I would say the medium fits me perfect where normally I would wear a large t- shirt or long sleeve. Not too tight but not loose.
