The shin pad articulates at the knee AND the ankle, which enables you to bend your leg at an even greater angle to get more edge into the ice. My kid wore through his previous CCM gloves and refused to get new ones. When he got a blister on his palm, I got these for him. The palms of this glove is thicker and better than his previous pair. Hopefully will last the season. Feels way better than the CCM, seem to have better padding.
