Love that the silicone is painted on the glass. The silicone bumper adds a bit of slip and bump protection, especially when placing the bottle on a granite counter top. I do wish there was a simple cap, with or without a drinking spout, so the bottle does n't leak. For instance, my water bottle often ends up tipped over on the passenger seat of my car, and the current lid does leak, a little quicker than I realized originally.

I normally carry around a stainless steel 25 oz. water bottle on my backpack and around in the car but it was a bit of a hassle for the gym. I ordered this bottle for that purpose and it fit the bill. I can mix in Amino Acid powder and drink easily from it. The cap arm has tension to hold it back when drinking and the handle is excellent. The rubber base is a great feature as well for stability when standing it up but it does n't fit in the car cup holder, the only downside. The texture on the cap is easy to grip. I 'm quite satisfied with my purchase.

I read the reviews before purchasing and almost went with the older model even though I really liked the color options and silicone bumper included with this one. Reviews said that the bottle sweated a lot and that the new ice blocker spout prevented water from flowing and the cap from being cleaned properly. None of that is true for me. Water flows just as it does from any other bottle I 've owned( perhaps even better than from my hydroflask lid) and the cap is super easy to clean. I love the silicone bumper, and especially love the carrying handle( makes multi tasking and taking it on walks super easy). I dislike drinking cold water so was searching for a plastic water bottle that was still environmentally- friendly( previously had a KOR water bottle) and this one fits the bill. It definitely does n't sweat more than my other bottle and it is absolutely leak- proof. My family and I have been using the Takeya Actives water bottels for many years. We 've tried other brands( Hydroflask, Thermoflask, Stanley, RTIC) in between, that do n't come close to the quality and durability because of the price, but ultimatley we keep coming back to Takeya. My kids went from the 18oz to the 24oz to the 32oz now that they are in middle school. My husband uses the 32oz and I am using the 40oz bottle daily. My kids are rough on thier bottles, once by using it to try to get a ball that was stuck in a tree down by throwing the bottle up into the tree several times and letting it fall to the ground!! It was dented after that, but despite the abuse, the water stayed cold and it did n't leak at all for the 2- 3 weeks it took me to get around to getting the replacement bottle. We love the spout lid! It's simple to use and easy to clean! I order replacement gaskets to keep on hand in case they begin to mold, which has happened twice in all of the years we 've used them.
