I 'm most recently coming to the Nike zm vapor 16 elite fg from the Nike Tiempo- a different style boot known more for comfort and touch, but I am extremely pleased with both the comfort and touch of this latest Mercurial. The exterior of the boot has incredible material that is quite adhesive to the ball and creates good touch, and the fit of the boot is very good including in the back heel/ achilleas area. The all black colorway of these boots is also fantastic. It's a hard look to pull off- balancing classic and stylish, but the colorway fits this boot perfectly. Having actually owned the original Nike Mercurial back in 1998, it is absolutely incredible to see what this boot has become from both a tech/ innovation and design perspective.

[ I got these cleats for my son who plays competitive soccer. My son loved them as soon as he saw them in the box. He just used them in a tournament and said he had a good grip on the ball with these cleats on. He specifically loved the traction the cleats had and was able to glide with speed on the field and stop when he needed to with no problem or pain. The inside of the cleats were cushioned enough where he felt supported and not complain of uncomfortable pain and blisters he has experienced with other new cleats before. He did mention that he would have liked them even more if they weren ’ t so narrow and would need to size up if he got another pair but that does not stop the cleats from getting above 5 stars. The cleats run true to size but because they are narrow, he would recommend sizing up for extra room. The sleek design and the layout of the studs makes these cleats a must have. You will not be disappointed and will be the envy of other players on the field!

[ I ’ ve been playing in Phantoms for a few years and this time I decided to go half- size up, as the older Phantom GX was pretty tight in the toe box. Best decision ever: this new upper is so soft and malleable to the foot, plus the extra length made it really comfortable to play in. I have wide feet and had absolutely no problems with these boots( I tried Mercurials and couldn ’ t run due to the tight fit). The FG plate is quite aggressive with bladed, high molded studs. It ’s great on the forefoot but I would not suggest it for older AG turfs( like the one I played in)- as I got stuck on the ground a few times, and got a few blisters on my first day. It does wonders on natural grass! My favorite thing about these new Phantoms is the sensation when shooting/striking the ball, this upper seems at the same time both soft and thin, making it easy to feel the ball but also not providing a totally barefoot touch, which to me can be uncomfortable on the toe box. Highly recommended if you have a wider foot but still want a lightweight, soft boot!

[ Somehow Nike just gets better and better each year with their new soccer boots. These have to be the lightest pair of cleats I 've ever owned. Somehow it feels like I 'm wearing nothing on my feet but have the most revolutionary boots on at the same time. If you like a tight, glove- like feel I would recommend going TTS but if you prefer a little more room, I recommend going a half- size up. The ball handling and accuracy is incredible on these. They designed the knit on the front upper to be sticky to provide an unreal grip on the ball. Feels almost like an unfair advantage how easy it is dribble and control the ball. I 've only played in warm, hot and slightly dewy conditions so it will be interesting to try these out in rainy conditions. The traction plate on the outsole has crazy grip on turf and even grass. It really helps with that first move when you go to cut. Pivoting has never been easier and changing directions is seamless. I love the additional boost you get from the unique design. Nothing but positive feedback for the 6's.. the only thing I would change are the colorway options, Most of them are pretty loud so I would prefer a more subtle white/silver option.

They feel very light, it has a barefoot- like touch on the ball, which I love, since it feels more precise and allows for quicker ball control. I love the design, it has a great taste, I like that it has a more aggressive look as it stands out on the pitch. The low- cut version that I received gives a cleaner look and more ankle freedom which I prefer. The fabric feels high quality, it adds a sticky feel to the ball without overdoing it and it improves overall ball grip in my experience. What I like most is the gripknit upper which really stands out to me, it provides better ball touch without needing an overly padded upper. The cleat is clearly made for technical players, which is ideal for me as I ’ m a playmaker and I value precision. What I would change maybe slightly more heel padding which could improve comfort for longer sessions. Also, the toe box area which didn ’ t really bother me that much but I noticed a bit tightness especially during my first session. I felt the height of the toe box a bit tight and I needed more space to feel 100% comfortable.

[ Putting them on for the first time felt exciting because the shoe immediately looks beautiful. The fit was secure and locked in, but it was also very tight around the sides. After wearing them for around 6 hours, my feet were definitely hurting, so although the shoe performs great, the tightness is something that stands out. Even so, once I started walking, moving, cutting, and opening up my pace, the shoe felt extremely lightweight and allowed me to use my agility freely. The feel to the field from the bottom of the shoe is also amazing, making each movement feel sharp, quick, and connected. The design is absolutely gorgeous. The hot pink exterior, the sleek shape, the textured swoosh, and the pink diamond- esque spikes all work together perfectly and make it my current favorite pair of soccer cleats. The fabric material also feels light and performance based, but it did crease a lot after usage. I am not fully sure if a permanent crease will form or not, but it does not seem like it so far. What I liked most was the combination of beauty and performance, because the shoe looks like a statement piece while still being great for speed, agility, and field feel. The only thing I would change is making the sides slightly less tight and possibly improving the upper material so it does not crease as much over time.

The Techleather upper is really soft and conforms well to the shape of my feet, making for a snug and comfortable fit. This in combination with the cushioned feel it provides on the ball made for an overall high quality leather- like experience. In addition, the traction provided on artificial grass was more than adequate and the small knit collar at the opening of the shoes helped to keep the rubber pellets from ending up inside. In terms of looks, these look excellent, especially in this color. The shoe ’s silhouette is fairly simple, with the only major design features being the sort of wavy pattern in the upper and the split soleplate. This allows for the color palette to take center stage and this particular one does that very well. The primary color is a fantastic darker pink that has a sort of metallic gold sheen in it depending on the lighting. This is accented beautifully with a near matte black that pops against the loud pink. To top it off, the soleplate has a mesmerizing chromatic effect that just ties everything together. While I do think a continuous soleplate would have looked better, the split sole doesn ’ t take too much away from the shoe either, so it's not a major complaint. Overall, the Tiempo Maestro elite is an outstanding shoe to play in and of all the colors that have been released so far, I believe that this is the one to get.
