Size 12 fits my 11- year old perfectly. I like that the arms and legs are tapered for a tighter fit to prevent water getting in. We purchased a different brand for my younger child and it was not tapered- water went right up the leg holes! We would buy Body Glove again.

When selecting a wetsuit for water sports, consider features such as thickness, flexibility, and insulation. A wetsuit's thickness, typically measured in millimeters, affects warmth and buoyancy, while materials like neoprene provide stretch and comfort. Additionally, look for design elements like seams and zippers that enhance ease of movement and entry.
Spring wetsuits are typically shorter and designed for warmer water conditions, offering more freedom of movement, while full wetsuits cover the entire body and provide greater insulation for colder environments. The choice between the two depends on the water temperature and the type of activities you plan to engage in. Understanding the climate and your comfort level will help you make the right decision.
To find the right size for a wetsuit, it's essential to measure your body accurately, focusing on key dimensions such as chest, waist, hips, and inseam. Many brands provide sizing charts that correlate these measurements with their specific sizes. A well-fitting wetsuit should feel snug but not restrictive, allowing for movement while minimizing water entry.
Wetsuits are primarily made from neoprene, which offers excellent insulation and flexibility. The thickness and quality of the neoprene can influence warmth, buoyancy, and overall comfort. Additionally, some wetsuits may feature thermal linings or water-resistant coatings that enhance performance in various water conditions.
Wetsuits are ideal for a variety of water activities, including surfing, diving, paddleboarding, and kayaking. They provide thermal protection and buoyancy, making them essential for prolonged exposure to cold water. The specific type of wetsuit you choose can enhance your experience based on the activity and water conditions.
To maintain your wetsuit, rinse it with fresh water after each use to remove salt, sand, and chlorine, which can degrade the material over time. Hang it to dry in a shaded area, avoiding direct sunlight, which can cause fading and damage. Regularly check for any signs of wear or damage, and store it flat or on a hanger to prevent creasing.
