The Surge is by far the heaviest multitool, perhaps a bit too much to use as EDC unless you are using the larger pliers all the time. The scissors are the best in a multitool or knife: smooth spring action, long blades, not finicky or flimsy. Top recommendation if you need this size of multitool.

[ I had a first generation WAVE multi- tool before. I loved it dearly. It had everything one could possibly ask for. I used it during my time in the military and well into my civilian life. Never once had a problem with it at all because Leatherman usually( and for good reason) means quality. I was heartbroken when it was stolen from me. Kind of felt like losing an old friend, really. Funny to have such feelings towards an inanimate object, but we had done a lot together. Breaking down weapons, fixing stuff around the house, pulling hooks out of the mouths of trout and salmon among other things. It feels good to have a Leatherman again.

None of them were able to justify not carrying a pocket knife until the ARC. The magnacut blade is a game changer in the multitool space and has replaced my pocket knife with ease. The one handed opening pliers are awesome when you have your hands full as well as the ability to access the tools from the outside, again, with one hand. Different from the Free P4, Leatherman has listened and put a proper bit changer, quality scissors and a proper file into the tool. I got this because my leather man squirt was too small and flimsy for my needs and at first I was skeptical about it but I was wronged by it. First the aerated blade is my# 1 tool here I cut everything with it and I have to had any problems# 2 Plier head is small but not to small and it has mighty aggressive teeth that they also intertwined so the flat materials are hold for sure and# 3 the scissor is pretty good and it cuts very well I only wish it was a little bit longer and the tip a little more pointy. Let's make some justice to SOG PowerAccess... It is a tool, not a gadget. It works like a tool, looks like a tool and smells like a tool. It have no frills or fancy features. But all that is offered works well. Pliers are outstanding, period. Blade is good sized to work as companion for a pliers oriented tool. It is not a pocket knife, good to remember. All other tools are correct and works as expected. The lock mechanism works well. It is enough to keep the tools in place and safe, no issues on that. But the genius design is on the 1/4 bit driver. It simply works flawlessly and is so well made that makes me use that more than any other function. I am a field technician and SOG is my multitool of choice.

Great Tool this is the second one I have gotten. The First kind of fell apart I used it so much. But I do suggest that the little knobs that you use to open the blades up with to put some super glue on them before you use because they get loose and fall off making the blade hard to open. I also could not find replacements.

[ This is an amazing bar set. It has such a classic look to it and fits right in with my bar decor. I have this resting on top of a buffet table that holds all my liquors and specialty glasses. I leave it open so I( and guests) can see whats inside. All of the tools are well made and high end, except for a few dings on the double sided jigger. The tools are easy to clean and I would suggest only hand washing to maintain the quality. The wood on the box is beautiful and elevates the set.
