The Owala FreeSip 32 oz Water Bottle has easily become one of my favorite everyday purchases. I ’ ve gone through a lot of water bottles over the years, and most of them eventually annoyed me for one reason or another — leaking lids, poor insulation, awkward straws, or just being inconvenient to carry around. After using the Owala FreeSip 32 oz consistently for a while now, I can honestly say it ’s the best water bottle I ’ ve owned, and it fully deserves a 5- star review. The biggest reason I love it is the FreeSip lid design. At first, I thought it sounded kind of gimmicky, but it actually makes a huge difference. You can sip through the built- in straw while holding the bottle upright, or tilt it back and drink from the wider opening when you want to take bigger gulps. I didn ’ t realize how useful having both options would be until I started using it daily. It ’s especially convenient during workouts, driving, or working at my desk. The insulation is also impressive. I fill it with ice water in the morning, and there are usually still ice cubes left by the end of the day. I ’ ve even accidentally left it in my car for a few hours and the water stayed cold much longer than I expected. Unlike cheaper bottles, there ’s no weird metallic or plastic taste either. The stainless steel construction feels high quality and durable without being overly heavy. One of my favorite features is the locking lid. I ’ ve had too many bottles leak in backpacks or gym bags, so this was a huge improvement. The push- button lid snaps shut securely, and I ’ ve never had it leak even when it was laying sideways in a bag. The carry loop also makes it really easy to grab and take anywhere. The 32 oz size feels like the perfect balance. It holds enough water that I ’ m not constantly refilling it, but it ’s still comfortable to carry around throughout the day. Some larger bottles become bulky and annoying, but this one feels practical for everyday use. I also really like the powder- coated finish because it gives the bottle a good grip and keeps it from getting slippery. Another thing that surprised me was how easy it is to clean. Straw lids can sometimes get gross quickly, but this one is designed well enough that cleaning doesn ’ t feel like a chore. After months of regular use, mine still looks and works almost like new. If I had to mention one downside, it would probably be that the bottle can feel a little heavy when completely full, and it doesn ’ t fit perfectly in every car cup holder. But honestly, those are minor issues compared to how well everything else works. Overall, the Owala FreeSip 32 oz completely lived up to the hype for me. It keeps water cold for hours, never leaks, feels durable, and has one of the smartest lid designs I ’ ve used on a water bottle. It ’s one of those products that actually improves your daily routine, and I ’ ve found myself drinking more water simply because it ’s so convenient to use. It also has a little lid attached so it it can cover the pull up mouth piece you drink out of, which is also a plus for a water bottle. I bought this as a replacement for a 10- 15 year old reservoir. This one seems like better quality than my old one and I love the removable drinking tube. Makes filling and dumping out excess so much easier. I do n't notice a huge difference with the big bite valve and whether there is `` 20% more '' water with each drink. I was a little worried that the shape looks different but still fits in my hydropak perfectly. The cap is also easier to remove than on my old one.
