Very pleased with these gloves!! I had read a review previously that he used them on fire assignments and was hooked, bought them a few weeks ago and took them out to OR on a fire and they did great! But BONUS I 've also put them to the test at tree climbing this week and they 've done really well! Only gripe is that they 've stretched a little bit, to where the extra space in the fingers gets stuck in carabiners from time to time. Easy to mitigate though, and the leather holds up super well to fire, ash, dirt, sap, ropes, and all:) plus do love that extra loop on the fingers to hang them in a way on my hip that keeps misc dirt from falling in.

These are my new favorite belay gloves! I take them up on the wall when I 'm doing multipitch climbs and also to the sport crag. They are versatile and generally awesome! I did get some holes in them after some usage, so be aware the durability is an issue, but I really have n't found a glove that's both dextrous and durable. Belay gloves put up with some serious abuse, so I 'm not really sure what's reasonable to expect.

The Granite gloves seemed a bit tight when I first got them, but within an hour of using them, they seemed to conform to my hands like an extra layer of skin. I have enough dexterity to tie and untie knots while wearing them and they give me plenty of protection when rappelling.
